Trump infrastructure plan leaked
I'm sure they are dialing the FBI right now to find out how.

http://thehill.com/policy/transporta...der-trump-plan
Toll roads may surge under a $1 trillion infrastructure proposal being floated by Donald Trump.
there goes your big tax break or extra dollar an hour conservatives have been praising as helping the little guy
House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) endorsed the idea
wouldn't a tolls be considered a new Tax

This leads right back to why I was saying that there is no such thing as a tax cut. That are just playing a shell game here, except the money you would pay in taxes is just going to somewhere else.
What a crock

If someone pays $2,000 a year in tolls, it's still better to have the raise/bonus, than to not have it. Even if that raise gets eaten by tolls, it's better than if they didn't have the raise.

If they spend a trillion, that's $3,000 for every one of us. Someone who got a $1 an hour raise, if they are full time, got a raise of $2,000 a year. If the feds take $3,000 from that working Joe, his raise pays for it in 18 months, then he can go back to pocketing the raise.

What you guys don’t see is the words that are specifically not used. You may see the word “investor”. What you won’t see is “for profit” “return on investment” or “government subsidized corperate handout to enrich the already rich”.
I was in Jamaica a few years ago. The government cut a deal with China to build a massive highway across the island that China owns with a huge toll. No one uses it. They all take the back roads.

You do know that a $100 Jamaican is $0.80 American.
What's the toll on the GW bridge now-a-days?

$15 Cash, a little less with EZ-Pass, but with that relatively high fee comes the opportunity to drive on the lovely Cross-Bronx Expressway.

If I remmber right, it was $3,500 or $4,000 to take a road that was about the length of the mass Pike. So around $35 USD.

Well then you Mis-remembered.
It's $9.80 American for cars.
yes they charge more for trucks, but in comparison a large truck will cost north of $40 end to end on the MA Pike

At any rate, my point is that if roads are 'for sale' and you drive on those roads, get ready to pay

If nobody goes over it, then why are you avoiding it?

Nobody goes over it, because it's too crowded.

Sometimes the GWB is the best (particularly late night early morning)
Depends on the time and mission (and Waze)

Back in the winter -spring of 1983-84 I drove to Bayonne NJ almost weekly to play my marching snare drum, leaving Friday evening.
At 1st I was taking rt 95 and eventually over the GW, through NY throughway and eventually to the Jersey turnpike.
Every trip down was an adventure going over that piece of crap bridge and there was always cars on fire, cars on blocks, cars being stripped....
If you ever broke down you were screwed !!!
Started taking 84 to the Tappanzee-garden state pkw
Much better ride.
Been making that trip a handful of times recently and will be a handful more time over the next few months.
The last thing I want to do is go over the GW late at night !!!
The Tappanzee bridge is brand new now also.

I remember one time waiting over an hour to get on the bridge from NJ at midnight.

I make a lot of trips up to the Cape throughout the year. Generally, leaving NJ between 4-5AM I don't have a problem with the GWB/Cross Bronx.
Back in the late 70's-80's sometimes I'd avoid the GWB/CB completely, and take the Verrazzano, drive to Orient Point and take the ferry!
