Don't forget the Power Pro line. 80 pound test.

good rod there Inshoreangler.. you will like it alot... it beats the beefstick hands down anyday of the week... it's a stiff rod but you can still feel vibrations thru the handle so you could feel whats tagging your line down there... ocean pout are nasty nibblers but when they hit that hook damn!!!! it's like what was that... hehe... mmmmmm ocean pout....... a friend one time cooked up some pout we caught once and i swore it tasted like lobster.....

my friend has that same rod he uses it for cod/tuna/shark... he has it fitted with a 6/0 penn...

Tuna? So, if I go on a light tackle trip, I can use this rod on my 4/0 senator for small school tuna??
Doesn't taht rod give the tuna too much leverage, and it is too difficult to fight them on it?
What do you prefer for the tuna, mono or braid/spectron....can I leave the spectron for the cod on the reel if I take it on a tuna trip?
