Krispy...this forum is here for everyones enjoyment and pleasure! It is not here to insult anyone elses intellect or fishing ability, and if you think anyone here is going to just take these kinds of slanted insults then maybe you need a nap also. I put what most people on this site would probably view as the stupidest thread to come along in quite awhile up the other day and nobody showed any negativity or beat me down because of it, it was put up to kind of get people to laugh and interact, and that is what the site is all about, enjoyment and interaction! If you and Shore Maniac and anyone else that agrees with you can't understand that, then I think you guys need to take your ball and go home!!!!! Mutual respect is pretty huge here! I log on to some of the other similar sites and all I see is stupid arguements and insults and I never really see that here....everyone seems to just agree to disagree and respect what everyone else is trying to accomplish by posting here! If you guys disagree with someones thread....then just do not post!!!!! I really have enjoyed the time that I have spent here since I logged on in January, and I have met many of the folks that we talk with here, so I would think twice before I would beat someone else down for their thoughts, opinions, or questions......one nation...under God....etc.....etc....etc.

I second that.
Went through a few bashings myself this season. Both instigated by my temper and reactive due to the need to clarify my statements statements. Browsed a few of the other Bass sites and have never stuck around because they don't have the knowledge and humor that you guys bring. I agree that we should publish good spots. Many of us have put the long hours in to "discover" how a spot produces and have held on to the statistics with the selfishness of a miser.
I live on an island that is ENTIRELY a beach. Where I catch a fish is the "beach" and I am not lying.
Recently posted a question on traveling to a few spots and got some great responses from some contributors, albeit quietly like we expect.
Look forward to sharing info in the future.

You mean the Skippy Sandbar ?
Of course I am but the beach stuff is probably spent. The harbor (which is frickin huge so don't you worry about me giving away a spot) still has fish but not for much longer.
You still making the drive to P-town ?

Before you pull the plug just let me say That I'm sorry I said anything (way back on page 1). Next time I will definitely keep my mouth shut. I certainly didn't expect this to happen. I have DEFINITELY learned a valuable lesson here and will remember that silence is golden.
But can I still ask the occasional dumb question...I really do want to learn the fine art of striper fishing... Caught my 1st one this year and now I am addicted
And I'm NOT going into a 12 step program to help me quit
again sorry for any tempers I managed to flare up.

TDF - this is normal. A wide variety of people with highly different opinions, attitudes, and feelings on fishing. It's also the Internet so use it as a tool but don't take it TOO seriously.
And did I mention that first stage withdrawal complicated by shoret cold day, longer colder nightitis is kicking in...

woah and i didn't even have to join a fishing club...heh
if i posted exact location to where i fish.. would that make me an arse? i would probably regret it when i got there to find my 1 man rocks are populated . but hey it would be my problem right?? and if someone else is fishing there and you didn't tell anyone about it then guess what... he/she did their homework too just like you did.. i'll go and drive around and see what people are doing... heck nothing like have people staring at the back of your head while your the only nut in waders over on the back sand bar just past the break water and it's 6pm and the tide is still rising.. heh
how about your favorite spot over on the drive... hehe pick one... i'll fish the drive from kings to the guard station.. ne1 ever fish behind that place on the hill... woah... thats a hot spot and a half..but good luck parking nothing like walking to your vehicle and it's not there....not cool..especially after you were told it's ok to park just make sure you leave before 9am.. and it's 1/4 past 8....
ok .. bass ale and posting don't mix.. i'm rambling here and laughing as i'm posting and my wife is starting to give me those cold stares as if i'm on an adult site or something....
ok gonna watch stripers in pardise again and again and again and again..

I still dont get why Im getting dumped on here?
I didnt say ShoreManic was right, I said he had a right to say it.
Kinda like the Constitution, ya know.
And since everyones saying its wrong to tell folks asking questions to shutup, that it wrong to tell someone who doesnt agree with that line of questioning to shutup.
I dont have a problem with anyone asking questions.
I dont have a problem with boat fisherman.
I dont have a problem with newbies.
I dont have a problem with people who have a problem with newbies, boat fisherman or anyone asking questions.
T. Lapinski is still a punk, though
Yeesh, your all barking up the wrong tree here
PS Its just the internet

So the Girls at hooters have the answers for my stripers questions....awesome
I've been telling my wife for years that I go there to seek information and Immerse myself in intellectual exchanges but she just didn't buy it....But now that it says it on the internet She's GOT to believe me.
You mentioned the Mass bass thing...what exactly is that and is there any info posted anywhere?

The Dad Fisherman....go to MSBA.net. The Mass Striped Bass Association meets every month in Braintree, directions and times can be found on the website. Our next meeting is the 26th of November, on Thanksgiving eve, tough night but try to come out. BasicPatrick is the club President and I am the Vice President....feel free to contact us with any questions you may have. Hope to see you in the future. It is usually a good time, the club conduct business for about an hour and 15 minutes, then an intermission for free coffee and donuts, and then we generally have some great entertainment for about an hour, followed by a big raffle of a table full of fishing related items, rods, reels, lures, tackle bags, you name it. So give MSBA a try, you might enjoy it, some good people in the club always willing to help anyone, because it is all about fun!
