going to sit in my stand for a few hours tomorrow
sunday, take the 4 wheeler for a shake down cruise getting it ready for ice fishing
clean up some pine needles and run some of the branches that came down through the chipper
put the cover on my pond, I've had it with removing pine needles and my neighbors oak Is just waiting to ruin my day.

Was supposed to be pollack fishing out of Gloucester today, but that got cancelled. Going up to do some chores on the boat tomorrow, have a tog charter on Monday, then the GARFO meeting on Thursday and fishing on a party baton Saturday with some friends. I'll be o the boat all week if anyone wants to get together.

Took today off to sit in the woods with the boy, who also had the day off. Turned out to be a good morning as I shot a deer. I couldn't let him show me up....he shot one Wednesday night. Fall show at Bristol Aggie High school tomorrow and working Sunday.

When they say if it doesn't kill you, it will only make you stronger, I guess at the end of this year Peg is going to be super strong. Last year she lost her mother, her sister, two long time friends to cancer and her only remaining immediate family member her brother had open heart yesterday after a heart attached and severe artery damage found. So since she still isn't able to drive with new knee, I'm packing her into the back seat of the Silverado, the blue ice machine on the front seat and it's off to Mt. Auburn Hospital today. Over to his employer, apartment, lots of errands to run while in town, fun stuff
I'm hopeful to maybe get a break tomorrow and if the winds and seas are down, I might try to get the yak out form under it's dusty cover, grab some crabs and head to new bedford for tog.

I got a nice eater cod when I fished last week. Great eater. But the triggerfish I got was even better, just hard on my blade.

Trigger fish are sooooo good, but boy you better have one sharp filet knife, couldn’t believe how tough their skin was first one I took a knife to.

You need to stab them to get the cuts going and then cut from inside the skin.
