I will go next week just to keep it honest. I got a spot where I caught fish up to 17# in January.
|
No boat, back in the suds.

I caught a crab on an assassin and one short hit in Rhody Saturday night. My passes are used up now until X-mass break. I'm going to make a few casts around here over the holiday though just to stay in the game.

I've had some luck on 20 minute efforts while the kid is at swim practice. Nothing big, but still nice to feel the pull this time of year. Had one Monday that may have completed for smallest, but didn't bother to measure or photo. I saw it splash, swung a plug at it and it hit 6 inches from the bank. Thought for sure I had a walleye for a minute. Gonna give a last ditch tomorrow before the storm.

Congrats to Sauerkraut and PaulS! Guys, shoot me a PM and I'll get your plugs mailed out this week.
I haven't been out in over a week as I've been near bed-ridden with a nasty virus. The weather hasn't been too cooperative in that time frame so I doubt I've missed much. Will be back out a few more times for sure, and hoping to get in on another Christmas night blitz like I did several years back.

Toby,
If you know of a deserving kid, give the plugs to them.
Thanks

Zealot Award
Hello Mr. TL.
Disgraceful this state of affairs that my 36" C&R striper ends up being the largest end of the season fish in this web sit, tongue in cheek, little "contest". A large number of good beach hunter fishermen zealots are on this site. And this was my biggest fish for the end of season also; but such is the state of the striped bass fishery.
However, contrary to PaulS, I will accept my plug, and follow my own definition about who a "deserving kid" is.
Bonds.
