House Moving
I have built many houses over the last 45 years....never moved one!
I am amazed at how it is done. This one is being moved back away from the ocean a bit. My son is involved, as a surveyor, in making sure the new foundation is exactly where it is supposed to be.

Wow. From a boat doesn't look like that much erosion over there. Looks like it was one of the houses on the east corner of warrens. But then Again I've only ever been able to dream of access to fish mishaum from surf. Many special ops efforts where never successful.

I got through the open gate once.... only to find myself locked in when I went to leave. My son works alot down there ...probably has the gate codes.
Mansion at the tip of Mishaum....I heard the owner is a lobbyist for the oil companies and spends little time there.

I worked on a project a bunch of years ago in Newport
, raised the house 19' on beams and cribbing. Had an excavator under it to dig the new foundation. Once it was all done the house was lowered down onto it and the additions were built. Neat project but it would have been better in the warmer weather. Never moved one to a different location though.
