Here's Oakley dropping my large on Southwest Point around 11pm one November many years ago. This was when you could still drive right up. It was freaking cold. Thanks for Paulie for snapping the pic.

I have started writing the story about that trip for DZ's new book. I do need some refreshing on some of the spots we fished. Like the "Trespass"!

You'd a thunk the doctor on call would've been able to immediately remedy that situation , but yes, thank God he sent me home with a solid script. lol
If anyone thinks Wolverine triples cut easy, John (and the ER doc) could tell you otherwise

I was due. Only plug in my bag I forgot to crush the barbs on. Thought they were going to have cut me open, though. Took 20 min to push it through and cut the VMC.
Nice one, Rmarsh

Wasn't bad at first as it went numb right away. The ride home with it lodged in there was somewhat disgusting. Pain kicked in after the doc had already been working on it for 15 min. I'm pretty pain tolerant, but at that point they were shooting me with nerve blocker every 3 minutes until they finally got it out.

Short clip from 2 years ago. My Aunt had just passed 4 hours prior to this. I knew she would've wanted me to go fishing. I know she was there with me.

Another one of my buddy. I'd put his season up against anyone's, poundage and numbers-wise. That was when the 12" needlefish invaded SoCo this past Fall. Our other partnah built the needle that's in its maw.
The other is me stepping up my fluke game, which isn't saying much

I only hooked myself bad once and it was basically identical to your pic. Hubby wanted to try the pliers and I nearly barfed at the thought.....I opted for the E.R. and they gave me 3 nerve blockers which they didn't get right each time and then tried to back it out... I told them "no...not a good Idea there is a huge barb in there just like you see on the other two hooks right there"....but they insisted on trying anyway! Hubby had to go outside for air after watching them try ....I was about as calm and patient as I could ever be when I finally insisted they push it through and cut the barb or I was leaving! It was at that point I wished I had just let my husband do it in the first place with no (useless) nerve blocker three hours prior! thanks for the memories

Some beach fish at least 5 years ago last few years this spot hasnt produced these fish nightly for 2 weeks , like in the past but we are all seeing this change. Recently it has been smaller bass and just luck if you hit them .
