M+Ds Tackle
After a very long 7 year hiatus from the surf, I am picking up my ZX25 again this year to pry the boulder fields. Kids/life/work just got to busy and didnt allow me to fully commit to how I like to fish. I just found out Mike no longer owns M+Ds tackle in Wareham?? I was sad to here this as Mike as was always a super cool guy and a wealth of knowledge. Is he still around? Making rods? Last time I was in his shop his daughter was spinning up some real beauty's. Looking for a custom 10' and was going to have Mike make it. Any info would be appreciated.

Mike stopped building rods, except for a select few of his regulars, before I moved away from the area 4 years ago. Felicia, his daughter, was in college in RI at the time. I'm sure she's graduated by now.

Hi Aaron,
Yep, Mike no longer own's M&Ds, which is a shame. And Felicia is engaged to be married.

Hi John,
That sucks. I always got my gear from Mike and always enjoyed going to his shop. He relined my ZX25 many, many times! I did receive a message from the new owner Nick. Seems like a nice guy. I was also introduced to Glenn from GW Customs and spent a good 1.5 hours at his shop in Wareham...having him build me a 10' 6" custom eel rod. Glenn is a super-nice guy and had a lot of patience and left no stone unturned or question unanswered when designing my rod. I was happy to give him my cash and support a local business. I used to wrap my own but my time is limited these days.(Mike actually sold me the wrapper, thread and blanks and gave me a tutorial on the basics many years ago). I was kinda sad that Mike is no longer in business. He was a super nice guy and created some real works of art with his rod building skills.
