Billy the Greek speaking at CSA on 1/20

Billy the Greek will be speaking at the Connecticut Surfcasters Association Demo Day on Saturday January 20th.
The show is running from 9am to 2pm at the Clinton CT Town Hall.
Jimmy hails from Long Island and has been catching cows from shore and boat since the 70’s. Using the most basic of tackle and intensive in-depth knowledge of striped bass behavior he’s been able to consistently score cows.
Besides Jimmy they’ll be demonstrations by members featuring fly tying, plug building, making soft plastics, rigged eels and better catch and release techniques and more.
They’ll also be on hand reps from Van Stall, ODM, Darkstar Surfcasting, The Surfcaster, ZeeBaas, Tsunami, Century Rods plus many other tackle and lure makers plus antique plug displays and used tackle at bargain prices including some Connecticut Yankee plugs.
Admission is a $5 donation, kids under 14 are free.
Hope to see you all there.

Lots of great vendors of plugs, surf bags, rods, etc. Food is also available. This venue is a favorite of many of our vendors.

Paul, I read your comment yesterday and didn’t understand it. Now I do, thanks for pointing it out. Could I have been Spellchecked or just absent minded. My apologies for wrong information.

I have read and re-read Billy's book a hundred times. If you have never read it, pick it up. If you have been obsessed with the 7 stripe fish, like me, the book is like a trip to wonderland.

No boat, back in the suds.

Tho I have been out of game for past 2 years am shockingly not familiar with these. I was never a plug guy, if they won't eat an eel f'em, but As it seemed plugs were more productive than eels my past few years, Outside Frankie's plugs, the best metal Lips I have ever fished have been bar none gremlins and of course my coveted Habs needles with some after hours and professor darters tossed in. As my kid forcing me back to the dark side perhaps have to check into these. Rehab is for quitters and no one likes a quitter
