Allstar 1208 rod for sale
Allstar 1208 10 foot 1-4 oz
Blank purchased in 2013 from the late onedozenraw on this board. He got it to the late Mike White aka Saltheart who built it. (Might have been one of the last rods he built.) He got it to Vic aka Throwing Timber who delivered it to the Cuttyhunk ferry for one of our weekend trips out there.
This is considered the SW model. I got this ten-footer after many here had praised its handling 1-4 oz, which helped me fill that 2.5-4 oz I was lacking in my surf rod collection. It made a second trip out there and has remained in the rafters since. So almost new...
I spec'd out a larger diameter Eva grip for the bottom as I found it difficult to hold a smaller diameter grip as the night wore on.... Saltheart fought me on this but relented and actually thought it felt good (for a thinking outside the envelope idea...) It is 8" tall and 5 1/2" circumference.

In my opinion, the all around best surf rod ever made. I have 2, 1 with a VS200 on it. Total workhorse.
