Exactly. A most disappointing beach season size-wise. And I am not dinking around with small fish lures, tackle, or areas.

Good on you for the honest measurement. On Instagram that would have been a 30lb fish.

Looks like shark. Or huge bluefish. Taken from behind. Those look to clean to be from Seals ..
Time to cast from dry land. SAUERKRAUT Question not looking for details.. where are you fishing. RI or Mass. inside the bay or vineyard side. . NH?

Typically one would say...."This story is worthless without pictures"
However, in this situation, .....These pictures NEED a story!!!
The colors on those fish don't look aged, fresh actually...not thinking you picked those up along the shore by chance...

1. Hope this Picture Thread would take off for John and this site with other contributors.
2. These are brown sharks; they are more of a nuisance every year during these hot weather months. Usually you get your plug back with these incidences. Not at all true with seal encounters percentage wise.
3. Picture here is a typical seal encounter (and yes, I did get my plug back this time). June, Truro. Seals really suck.

Put out of Westport this morning....plenty of bait scattered throughout the shoreline, put-puttdd along the shoreline to MichaumPt, .... ....from there I shot out to the islands... ...then stopped at the reef to jig for a bit before heading over to LC for a look-see,..
No sign of Charlie . ...but unless I'm mistaken, I think I had a Goose sighting!!
Couldn't get away from these buggers though....

It’s commercial sized… looks about 12 inches. Only 99.9 pounds to go before you limit out! 😂
