Too sick to fish right now. I can barely walk 100 feet without resting. I'll be good after the valve job.

No boat, back in the suds.

Gup, no need, I'll be with Clambo this spring. At 77, not time to buy another boat.

My son and I have been targeting what I call "pre-holdovers" on ultralight tackle recently with very good success. Also get a mixture of white perch and hickory shad on each outing with one of the 3 species usually dominating the catch. Not sure if it's luck, an up cycle of the perch, down cycle in bass, or some other factor, but this has been a banner white perch fall.

Was reminiscing with my friend GB outdoors (greg) the other day when we had that stretch of relatively calm warm days about how we would be slaying the stripers up inside one of our favorite winter spots. Clammer would join us there frequently, sadly the stocks aren't what they were and that spot is now off limits until further notice unless you like to deal with the EP officers. Prior to finding that sweet spot, I'd be hauling my old Lund ProV to the Thames River to extend the season, not investing in a dry suit to launch my kayak and winter fish at 71 years old.

You too Paul, rest up, heal up and get ready for another year. Your still on the right side of the lawn, but if your like me, you might be running low on the 9 lives quota old cat.

Good grump Clammer 😀
I forgot to go fishing
I did look at my lures yesterday and wondered why I have so many rods sitting in the rafters also. I only went fishing once and it was fresh water trout fishing. Priorities change.
Glad you got out fishing Mike!

I saw your post on that. I really should hit the river right in town more to try that; I am certain they are in there, and there is easy access to stop at the boat ramp and cemetery etc. to toss some small jigs on a sunny day....
