Mine are all wired up, but I'm gonna hold them for another day, Newelly, if that's alright... the mirror coat is nice, but it thinned out a bit on some of the plugs and dimpled in a few spots... nothing major, but I recoated all the plugs, to be safe, and they'll need the extra time to harden up. I'll ship 'em out tomorrow, priority, so you should have them in your hot little hands by Friday.
Just by way of reference, it might be nice if each of us would post here, what size hooks are recommended for optimum performance on their swap lure... on mine, a 2/0 4x treble up front and bucktail dressed 4/0 siwash on the rear. Depending on what brand of hooks you use, they'll add another couple of tenths of an ounce to the overall weight, and bring the total fishing weight (on mine) to somewhere's just under 2 ounces.

Glad you like 'em NG, and thank you for handling the swap this year. We appreciate it.
On my plug if you want to hook it up vintage striper plug style, I suggest 4/0 or 5/0 3x strong crimp-on cut Mustad trebles. If you prefer VMC's, 5/0, 4/0 and a 6/0 or 7/0 siwash on the tail (if you can find 'em).

Hooks for mine... I use a 1/0 VMC treble up front and a 4/0 Siwash dressep up a bit in the back.
I must offer a disclaimer with mine. I used you guys as Guinea Pigs The plugs are made out of cypress and I tried a new glitter finish idea so the plugs feel a little bumpy. They will definately catch though... I spent countless hours making protos to get the weighting right etc. I am really excited to get the others!!!!!

I prefer 3/0 VMC for the front and a 5/0 dressed siwash for the back. Looking forward to seeing everyone's creations.

Well, they're on their way. I'm satisfied with how they turned out, and I hope you guys find them acceptable. They're a shape I've been tweaking since August, and made from AYC, although I'm not 100 percent settled on the wood... I plan to work with it some more this winter, as weather permits... "Caribbean schoolbus" can be fished at night, but is probably a first light through mid-morning choice.
Newelly, thanks for hosting this swap, and where's my box of lures, already?

I'm a lurker here on the plugs.
I've ho'ed a few from Dave/NG - love them big pikies!
As stated by the other non-plug makers: PLEASE post a set of pictures so we can have some eye candy for Christmas.
Thanks again!
