Angry I feel worse than Clark Griswald

Every year the last paycheck before Christmas we get a nice bonus. Yesterday was the day we should have gotten it....nothing People start talking, where is it? what did you hear? are we getting one?

After work tonight we are sitting around having a beer and one of the owners asks me "Chris, got all your shopping done for the kids?"
"No boss, haven't even started"
"Oh, you better get started"
"Can't boss, you guys didn't give out a Christmas bonus this year"
"Oh, what are you gonna do?"
"I don't know, guess it's gonna be a #^&#^&#^&#^&ty Christmas at my house this year"
"Hey Chris, how 'bout them Pats?"

Now don't get me wrong, I know they aren't obligated to give us a bonus. But we have always gotten a nice one, every year, and some of us (including myself) live paycheck to paycheck and count on that bonus to buy gifts for our families. If it isn't gonna happen, they could at least warn us in advance and say something like the company didn't do so good this year so they can't do it.

It's a small company ( 20-25 employees) and we are like a family.
Everyone is pissed that they went about it this way.

At least Clark Griswald got the Jelly of the Month Club

Jake, I hear ya.

We always have our "Holiday" party at the Common Market in Quincy after New Years when everybodies life has calmed down.
There was talk today of everyone saying they were going, and then not showing up. Leave the owners there by themselves with the bill for the hall and the catering. That is if they are even going to do it this year. I think it would send a good message

I'll fire up the RV Sparky. Go kidnap him and bring him to your house with a big red bow tied around him.
