That was one hell of a gathering! Beautiful plugs and rubber.
I couldn't bring myself to actually USE anything you guys build. You're all artists - you're plugs belong in a museum .

a terric turnout
The plug festival was an awesome event with plug turning demonstrations, great food, and lots of fishing stories and techniques. It was very nice to see everyone again and to meet missing link and JR link who's truck caught on fire the first time. Fish wee wee was super cool as was maco joe and his nice daughter and having fun with that mad man "The Clammer". A special thanks to all the Wives who prepared food and i hope to see some of you next -> time.[

First off thanks Slip and JohnR. I had a good time and am glad I went today. It was nice to talk with other builders and exchange ideas. For anybody I talked to I hope I was of some help and look forward to seeing some of your creations. Food was awesome (could have fed 2 more armies), conversation great as was seeing some other builders creations.

Worth the 2hr. (each way) drive, and the chunk of cash I parted with. Food was first rate, Thanks to Slip and anyone who helped for putting it together. I learned a lot. If I can figure out how, I'll post a couple of pics also.

All I can say is WOW! .. Nice plugs, and that Glass squid is an absolute show stopper.
Bm, is either trying on new earrings or doing a vision test for someone. "better like this, or better like this"
I see Salty likes "big uns".
Nice Work. Please count me in for the next one.

Great Time Was Had By All!
Had a great time today at the "Plug Fest"! Had the opportunity to meet so many of the people from here on the site and it was a pleasure meeting all of you! I would like to send a special "Hello" out to MacoJoe's daughter, a very nice young lady who obviously enjoys fishing with her Dad, and by the way her face lit up when MJ mentioned Scup fishing, I could tell she really enjoyed doing that with her Dad and that was nice to see. Good for you MJ, really nice kid there. Thanks to Slipknot for putting it all together and giving me a little lesson in plug building, and thanks to JohnR for everything, it was a great day! Also, special thanks to Christian for the gift of a Wonderbread colored "Wonder Needle" that he gave me with his signature on it, it really meant alot to me and I don't know if I can really fish it as it was such a nice gesture. Thanks again Christian and it was great talking with you and your Dad and I am looking forward to a trip to the Race with both of you this up coming season. Thanks again to all, really a great time!

Almost time to get our fish on!!!

Kidding.....Karl had a great article in a 1962 NG about the National Seashore and the Cape in general to show me, thanks again Karl F, nice talking with you today also. Also....if none of you guys got any of Slips wifes brownies....you are bummin'! Kudos to the Mrs. Slip!

Had a great time! Nice to put some faces to the names.
Learned alot too. So much easier to understand what the plug builders are talking about when you can see them in action instead of reading it
Thanks to Slip and John R

A good time spent with good people; lots of tasty grub too.
And ah......... the copious harvest of ingenuity in wood.
Also: picked me up some fine fine molded plastic.
Great talking. Glad I met you guys--can't wait for the spring.
Anyone else got the fishing itch? It's all I could think of on the drive home.

glad you guys liked the glass
Loved doing a little trading and as you can tell by my pile of loot, I did more than a little.. and I even bought a couple from the guys selling...
Plugs in the pile are by cape sams, slipknot, newell guy, tobias, christian, salty bugger, and last but not least, bassmaster..
Now I gotta stare at them for 3 months until I can fish them
Tahnk you everyone for everyting and thanks for slipknot for putting it all together!!!
