Thank You DZ!:btu:

Thanks Dennis!

Your presentation on the Snowstorm Blitz was absolutely awesome!...

Every one of us there left with a sense that we had been through something amazing ... though were not there, it's as though we were!!!

So many heads were turning in stunned amazement!

Those who missed this event really missed out on a rare opportunity to experience, second hand, the amazing events that took place on Block Island in the 80's

You were right on the mark Dennis, when you had mentioned that your presentation would have the same effect as reading "Reading the Water" by Robert Post did for many of us!

Your writing style is riveting, and left us as stunned as those who had actually been fishing the island that November weekend.

It was also great to see Habs & Tattoo there, as it was seeing many of you from the site.

Special thanks to Tattoo who did a tremendous job scanning images for the presentation.

I was considering staying back because of the extreme temps this evening, but I am sure glad that I didn't!!!

A special thanks also goes out to Habs for offering one his needles for the raffle!

I was lucky enough to win this one for my plug bag!

And your newer needlefish are absolutely stunning plugs!... I can't wait to see them on the shelf!...

Sure glad you got Tattoo turning for you!... you both do such great work given the mass of plugs you both produce... simply amazing!

These plugs match the priceless quality of the homemade plugs of the other amazing builders on this site, and it blows my mind that you will be putting this kind of quality out there on such a large scale!

Thanks again Dennis for an AWESOME evening!

Let us know if you ever plan to do it again!

When the book hits publishing, let us know, as I am sure that it will soon become a classic!

Yes...a great time.
DZ's slide presentation was highly entertaining - it was interesting to see just how many players were on Block Island fishing at the same time. Dennis clearly understood the significance of what was happening very early on and has done a great service to the sport by documenting it so thoroughly.
It was also nice to put a face to the S-B people.

Was well worth the windy drive down. I have fished some of the spots he mentioned and could just picture it in my mind. Very interesting, but it drove me to be unable to sleep again last night. Just as I have gotten over the waking up in the middle of the night screaming "I'm ON" episodes, I hear stories that throw me back into relapse. I am actually looking forward to the book, especially since I have never read a fishing book before.
And the Chowda was absolutely incredable. My hat off to the chef of that wonderful concoction.
Good to see some of the folk I know and a pleasure to meet some newer folk.
Great job and thank you Dennis.
