surfster lips

I just got off the phone with #^&#^&#^&#^& from moore's lures..he said he needs atleast 5 surfster lips to get a mold an stamp out...now the thing is we need to know how many people here an at other sites would like to buy them an how many lips they may want..it takes alot of $$ to make these[stamps] these days...if there's enough interest in them, he'll go ahead an have them made. talk to your bud's, spread the word....we need to know. he's looking for number's.....

ps. these will be made of heavy guage sst.

If they are the same as the CCB ones; size and thickness, I'd be good for 100.

As long as the lips are an exact copy; size ,guage, weight. I don't care who makes them. If they are too thin they are useless. The lip is where this lure gets its weight on front. The "specials" or "7400L" were also loaded in the rear.

thanks salty, but dont get too involved. Im getting that "not wanted feeling" around here. maybe cause im "joisey",or whatever. its a free country.
hope moores makes what you guys need.they are a big company, im one guy trying to make an honest living at what i love to do. I live, breathe and dream about striper fishing every single day just like you guys.
just remember i never asked for any 500 minimum order guarentee from anyone before risking my $ to make this dye.
and noone works for free as far as i know
like i said, whatever floats your boat.

Tinman, that's not it at all. I use your lips on some of my pikies and they work great. It is just that when we posted a few days ago about what guage they were going to be you said like 22 guage (?) Isn't this the same guage as your pikie2 lip? If so this is going to be too thin for the surfster lips. I would hate to see you make a few thousand in this light guage and not be able to sell them. I don't have a micrometer handy to check my surfster lip but I would bet it is probably 18 or maybe 20 guage. If you can make them same guage I would be more than happy to buy them thru you. I don't care about the mirror finish, the finish like your other lips is great.

Capesams.
IF thats truly the case then FINE.. settled.. First one that brings this to market at the right quality, at the right price, gets the sale.
If there is something else bothering you , then I hope you can at least tell me what it is. You did not repond to one of my pms for like a month, and it was important to me that the item did not get lost in the mail, i would have felt responsible. Thats what made me think there was more to this.
end of story.. im good with that...
proceed with your 500 order...
i dont want to hijack this thread..

Tinman, i guess i missed your post on surfster lips. didn't know you were going to make them. if you can make them the way people want i am sure they will sell. the talk about Moores making them has been going on longer than i have seen your name around. i think most of the people on this board have dealt with Moores and like the service and the man behind the service.curios as to what else you sell.

Thanks Newell
And I certainly appreciate that very very much. If you guys would kindly re read that post you will notice I said .032" thick,, my pikie Z lips are only .020 thick. The .032" is THE EXACT THICKNESS OF AN ORIGINAL SURFSTER LIP & plenty thick. In fact I had the stainless specially shipped from feaking california, cause i could not find it anywhere else here . At $2 a pound, and thats 500 #'s. If you guys want to see a picture of it, im sure I can arrange it. I dont want to get into #s here, but I risked this $ gladly, and my bro and i are here trying to figure out the ABSOL LOWEST price we can get these to you guys. But u know what, if moores can beat my price and quality, you SHOULD buy from him ant not me, I would do the same if i were you.

LIGHTENUP ALL OF YOU

For those who don't know, the Moore's surfster lip idea has been going around for a year now, we discussed this before and I guess it's finally about to get off the ground. I didn't realize he was going to need 5 originals, I don't own any
I hate colorado blades and would like to buy some surfster lips.
Tinman, I'm sure there are plenty of people that will be inerested in buying them, I know Steve well enough to think that there is nothing personal. Competition is good for everyone. I bought some of your lips and think the quaulity is fine and the price seems right. I don't think your assuming there is a Joisey attitude is fair.
I wish there wasn't any bickering here, this forum is about discussing building of lures to be used to catch fish with
I'm glad you are all going to let it go and move forward, thanks
