bottle-darters and an exotic pikie

Here are some bottle darters now that I finally have them down pat. (Took 7 or 8 different variations to get it right) And a pikie made out of yellowheart

they swim more like a darter, the wiggle is very minimal. The nice thing is that the water doesn't have to be moving very fast. Plug will dive easily and darttttttt. The others I made before were experimental. Took a while to get the weighting down pat. These are made with hard maple.

I can't take credit for them. I got one from NIB and liked the action so much I had to make some. Little did I know that it wasn't going to be that easy.

bottle darters

Hey plug junkie,
Nice job on the bottle darters..nice wood turning and a beautiful finish.
I'm the inventor and patent holder of the bottle darter and I have to tell you that although you did a real nice bit of work there you also made a few small mistakes and one major change that are the reasons that the plug doesn't perform as it should.
If you'd like to contact me for the specs feel free.
Tight lines.

Hard for me to tell as far as how they should swim. These swim and dart beautifully. Only having the plug from NIB to compare it to action wise. I am intrigued though on how it would swim differently.
