What A Day!!!!

Hi Everyone, yesterday on our way to do a little shore fishing, we were going along Walloston Beach, saw a huge school of fish busting and birds working bigtime, so I looked at Baitcaster and said, I think we better go get the boat. Well we did, and you would not beleive the amount of fish out there yesterday, we were surounded by football field size schools of bass and blue's. It was unbeleivable, Never in my life have I witness such a site. We ended up with well over 100 fish all on top water, Chrome creek chubs, Blue and white Atoms, and Yo-Zuri mag poppers, all on teaser rigs. We double up almost every cast, with fish up to 29", and when you get 2 of those babies on at one time it is a blast on light tackle. We had fish all around the boat for 5 hours, I could not believe on such a hot sunny day they would stay up that long, and they were just crashing the bait, looked like alot of silver sides and small herring fry, as they coughed alot of it up when we hooked them up. It was a tough day, went through alot of teaser rigs and lures do to the little snappers of 4-6lbs around, but what a blast. We had a gentlemen with us from Ohio, he has never seen such a thing, we had to stop fishing cause the fellow was just plain worn out. I am still wired from the experience, just unbelievable. I hope it only gets better form here on out, MV is just around the corner.

JohnR, Schoolie Monster would have been frothing at the mouth yesterday, what a day!!!!!!

CONGRADULATIONS!!!!!!
You guys haven't had a day on the boat that good since June with us. It has to be getting you pumped for MV. It kinda makes up for B.'s crappy hours this week. 15 days until the wedding and 24 until MV. Not that am counting. Things have slowed a bit so we may be able to get out this weekend.

RE:What A Day!!!!

What tide/time of day was that? I was going to hit Scituate to Cohasset tomorrow morning but sounds like that might be worth checking out. Obviously no guarantees, but if there was that much bait around, there's a good chance both it and the preditors will still be there. Let me know, maybe launch in Hingham and take a run over to check it out, thanks and tight lines.

RE:What A Day!!!!

Hey JohnR, can't play tonight, having dinner guests, maybe tomorrow though, I could use a good arm stretch.

Topwater, it was awesome and a day well needed, thing have been really crazy lately. Maybe we can hook up this weekend, we have clients tomorrow afternoon.

Got Striper, We got into those fish right after high tide yesterday at 1:00, we 1st saw a school on the way over right off of Walloston around 11, and thats why we decided to go get the boat, these fish have been around for several days now, feeding hard and covered with sea lice, from there all the way to the airport and Winthrop. It was very intense, there will be alot of yahoos out tomorrow, those fish have been up on top at 1st light every morning for the last 2 weeks over by the airport. My suggestion would be to go early, to at least get into some actions before those guys that don't know what there doing on the water come over and drive the schools down. All we threw yesterday were the previously mentions top water, and teasers, all white, Olive and white, and Brown and white. I hope you go and have as great a day as we did!!!!
Let me know, We will probably be going out on Sunday, if you are out give us a call on the radio, 69. Boats name is The Alternative. Good luck

Hi John R. We, Squidmama and The Big Catch, happened to be her dinner guests tonight. so she couldn't go out and PLAY, even though she wanted too! LOL She's not only a super fisherwoman, but boy, can she cook. She's the best. Super friends, baitcaster and her, as if you didn't know. Will E-mail you when we get to MV about Huff's Memorial Award. Take care and see you on the big V.
