Why are all you guys picking on this guy? It seems to me that he's a good fisherman and you guys are a bit jealous?! If he catches and keeps fish within' the confines of the law, leave him alone.
And just for reference, it does more damage to the striper stock to keep the shorts, (ones that HAVE'NT had a chance to spawn), than it is to keep the 50's, (ones that HAVE spawned many times already). I agree though that a 5# bass tastes alot better than a 50# would.
Can anyone get me the addresses to all the bait shops from RI to NJ? If I ever catch a 50#, or a 40# or 30# , I'm gonna stop at EVERY shop on the way home!!!!!!!
Keep fishin' B!!!!!!!!!

Hey BOPEEP - First, welcome to Striped-Bass. I hope that your first post being a shot across the bow isn't indicative of all posts but hope you do end up liking the crew here. Lots of good people. That's just #^^^^^^& talking there. He's not the most poetic fellah but he does catch fish. Hey - maybe you do to but with your only post here is to bounce on him - how are we to know?
Bill - it might be time to switch back over to your old moniker.

Sounds to me like a Chessapeke Type protecting his interests... (or a fellow Ma$$hole in disguise ) I grew up down there, I remember what it was like to put 90 monster 2-5 pound fish into the boat. What's needed is a plan that protects ALL year classes to a more than sustainable degree. 40 comm bass perday in Mass is too high and every 18inch netted fish in MD is too much too. Oh - yeh - the forage thing, gee, what about that?
Quote:
as far as learning something, i am not here to debate that. i have no gripe with your ability as others might. i just don't agree with someone in a position such as yours advocating what you have in the above quote.

Lighten up a little Francis - in addition to his awfull attitude, for a few years he was a R&R commercial striped bass fisherman too - now you can really run him over... Seriously Bo_Peep, Bill catches fish and the vast majority in more recent years has gone back, like 99% of them, most of them big females. If you are one of those that advocates only keeping small fish, that's ok but a lot of us go after the big gals and we release the vast majority of them too.

Hey, Bill is Bill no candy coating there. He really can't be all that bad if he's willing to take his bro-in-law fishing once in awhile.
Actually the last few years he has been quite tame and civil, you should have met him before he was married.

Ah yes, this reminds me of the wmi days, when heated disputes were are frequent as the tide change.
Good to see you're still around Bill, and haven't changed. Hope all is well.

...there's only one week to go before the 5th. Don't worry, I'm keeping it honest for those calling it quits.
I'm making sure "those same fish" are still at Napatree. Ohh, yeah, <wink><wink>, <nudge><nudge>...

Would the REAL Frank DAIGNUALT please stand up!!! Hey, ahh, Frank - I'd hate to see your name being stolen by someone else with, err, less than honest intensions. And seeing that you are working for Connecticutt these days AND have a spelling problem, I'm just going to e-mail you my cell phone number and why don't you give me a call and confirm that's you - anytime after say 5:30 tonight OK... We've talked before so I think I'll recognize your squeaky voice - OK? Hate to see someone masquerading around as you - knowhatimean???
Thanks,
John

I'm just amazed that people would register just to $hit on Bill's fish. The guy catches a 50 and he gets $hit for it? Jealousy. No other explanation.

When someone just registered and their first post is a kick in someone's nuts---I don't think John should indulge them in the privilege. The benefit of the doubt only goes so far with me. Big difference between this place and WMI is that here, the crap---and the crapper---can be flushed.
Frank not only knows how to spell his own name, he also knows how to spell Rhody, and the difference between "your" and "you're"---even without an editor.

I thought about using the flush but decided that people who would use their first post/posts on this site to poop on someones 50 deserves to have that post left up so it hangs around their neck like an anchor. As a result of the post , do people think poorly of Bill or the guy who posted it? Anyway , sometimes leaving stupid posts up is the best punishment.

Thanks for the kind words saltheart but, Im not losing much sleep over the posts.God knows I have GIVEN and taken much worse over the years!!
What I do have a problem with bigtime, is the people who hide behind A trumped up name , just to make one post to bust nuts. Why cant they be honest as to who they are? Could be anybody? Its WHAT i call no balls! I never trashed anyone for getting a 50.I think me going to a few baitshops with that fish was mild.I have heard many, many stories about what one does when they finally land that fish of a lifetime. Anyway,Once I see more constructive content related to fishing I will try too help out,But if my posts are just going to be a launching pad for ball busting and chewing up web space I will slip back into the shadows .
John should not tolarate people who only post once under some false email and user name just to stir the pot.But its his site, he does what he wishes!! Have a good one.

.... One and the same - Bloooo. You remember that howl of an article Tim Coleman wrote a few years ago called Stevie Van Staal and the #^^^^^^&? Stevie Van Stall owning 28% of all of the Van Staals sold in New England, #^^^^^^& having a spare emergency eel tank in the glove box, & Joe "Pack", because he had more pouches and pockets to store things in his surf gear....
I'm gonna need to find that, very funny piece.... And then there was Joe & the Govenor....
