Charlie Moore

Just caught Charlie Moore catching "Summer Blues" on cape cod bay.

This jackass got a bomber stuck on the back of his ass after he fell.

Ha he is so annoying its not even funny.
How the hell do people fish with him?

Believe it or not, he actually was right(in a smal way). Most of the time, especially when they are blitzing, you could throw your sneaker out there and catch one. But I have experienced several times where even when they are blitzing (pounding bait on the surface and driving the bait onto the beach), they will only take certain plugs. Several times just last year they drove the bait onto the beach. I had a PILE of fish and a bass. Some people couldn't even hook up. I had the right lures and they didn't. After I lost my last one, I had a lot more trouble hoking up with other lures, even though you could have kicked 12 pound blues onto the beach.

Also, it always seems that at night, you put on an eel, cast it out.....chop, chop, chop. Try a lure, nothing. Put on an eel and instantly chop, chop, chop.

Not trying to defend him, he's still a yo-yo.

Black backed-silver scale bodied Gag's. The fish were on peanuts. Everyone else around me were throwing metal, poppers, and the "magic" yellow plugs.

I get a kick out of this whole Charlie Moore debate. He's become the Howard Stearn of fishing shows. His ratings are going up because of the people that don't like him tuning in to see what stupid things he will do next. Love him, or hate him, he's found himself a little niche.
My personal take is that he's a good freshwater guy, but knows nothing about saltwater fishing, but doesn't pretend that he knows about saltwater fishing either.

you may be right on this one, seems he's getting more professional now that he's on ESPN...

ok ok I'll admit it!!! I found myself watching Charlie Moore more than twice this weekend. He's getting nicer to the fish, but still aggravating...

I will try to make this my last anti Charlie Moore post, Florida trip coming in three weeks, one day of RedSox, two days on the freshwater, and one MAYBE two days on the salt!

I had a box of animal crackers the other day. The box said 'do not eat if seal is broken.' I opened the box, the lion was OK, the elephant was OK, sure enough, the darn seal was broken.

I caught the very tail end of his show this weekend, when he was fishing with former B Barry Pedersen. Can't wait to ask Barry what that day was like. Should see him in another week or two.

Be a man and admit it, you watch all his shows, he consumes you and that exaclty what he wants! IF you al hate him as much as you all say you do, well you sure know all about all his shows and what he does week in and week out.....Do you think he cares what we all think of him while he's cashing his endorsment checks? Don't you guys get it? He wants to create this buzz and you help him everytime you say he sucks, or is a goofball, or jackass or whatever....wake up fella's, if you don't like him, don't watch him, don't we have better things to talk about?

I do not watch him religously but I will say a couple things:

Beat Charlie Moore is better than his NESN show was

He's less of an idiot than I thought

He has not impressed me with his saltwater fishing accumen

The Tim Wakefield show was OK

All of the shows feature Mr Wanker catching small fish from a boat - tiny fish really (maybe not to alienate the freshwater crowd?)

Hotfish is somehow associated with a fishing show, if not being Charlie More himself

OTW's show is going to friekin' ROCK

Too many people used to think they could do a northeast show, now too many are

And we have all been helping him run to the bank and cashing his checks

Moore

Hey I rented a place this summer on Winispisaukee. I'm hoping I run into Moore at the restaurant he hypes, "FINIS" on the water. I'll call him a wanker for everyone here.

If I'm not mistaken that Restaurant is in Salem MA and is called Finz. I work about 2 minutes from the place. Its a bit of a Fru-Fru place. All of your fish has to be encrusted w/ some herb and covered by some Exotic Fruit salsa. No such thing as grilled w/ butter and lemon or deep fried in heart-clogging Oil. But its not bad for something different.

I'd almost bet he's never set foot in the place...just gets paid to hawk it.

Thats my point. Sorry to dissapoint you but no, not associated with a show other than like to watch them and no not charlie moore. I just get sick of reading post after post about how much people hate him, whatever, it's nothing new.. My point is this, it's a fishing show, thats all it is, a "show". Just don't know why everyones on his case, I watch shows to be entertained. Practice and years of experience makes you a better fisherman, not fishing shows.....

Heh heh heh...wanker...

He said 'wanker'...

Let's face it, Charlie Moore is sorta like Butthead - without Beavis.

"There is no royal road to this heavy surf-fishing. With all the appliances for comfort experience can suggest, there is a certain amount of hard work to be done and exposure to be bourne as a part of the price of success." From "Striped Bass," Scribner's Magazine, 1881.

He's alright.....I wish he'd do more saltwater shows however......I have never fished fresh water in my life, so I claim complete ignorance in that area. But I do know that we live in the best saltwater angling anywhere in the world IMO......

Hong Kong Foohe, now thats good stuff!
Honestly, I'm not a fan nor a hater, but if he's finishing 26th to a guy in a rubber boat, that's pretty sad, and funny at the same time..NOW THAT would have been a good show!
