trolling long island sound

I have the opportunity to deliver a 38 FT tuna fishing boat from greenwich CT to Watch Hill RI by water in about a week or two . I would like to troll along the way up to Watch Hill and would like to know if anyone has any experience fishing that area. If anyone could give me any recommendations on what to drag behind the boat and where it would be greatly appreciated.

RE:trolling long island sound

Mr Kav -

One good bet would be to troll umbrella rigs around Valiant Rock, which is a mile(?) west of the western tip of Fishers Island, or around Race Rock, which is JUST west of the western tip of Fishers Island. Those are VERY popular spots, and are only a couple of miles west of Watch Hill.

Most folks would troll the umbrella rigs with wire line.
