Question Conimicut area?

Anyone fish around here for bass? My sister lives right on the water and I've caught a few blues there, but usually ignore the area for bass. I fish down in South County mostly.
After this weekends RISSA show, I talked to a few guys about the herring run in Buckeye Brook and I would assume this draws bass to the area.
Not looking for anyone's secrets but any advice is helpful.

I fish it a couple of times a season, but I usually concentrate on South County also. I have had luck there for bass, there is a huge sandbar and at low tide it almost reaches the lighthouse. Fish off the sandbar and you should have some luck.

ya, i used to fish there alot 2 seasons ago. occasional blitz, some blues and schoolie bass, some guy was nailing 10-15 pounders.
not my first choice but when its your only option, it beats the couch and TV.

When I fish the sandbar I do not go out that far. At low tide sometimes you see guys way out there, for me it is just not worth it. When you get out that far you are also close to the channel and have to deal with boats wakes.
