Noodle Rods

Picked up an eleven foot GLoomis spinning noodle rod. Figured it would be fun to use for schoolies with light line. Anyone have any experience using noodle rods?

When Mr. Big comes along, you would wish you had used a "normal" rod. Noodle rods are meant to fish for big trout in rivers, not for stripers. But, if you enjoy using it, good for you.

If you do get a fish on, you may exhaust it to the point of death, they don't have enough backbone to turn a decent size fish.

Go for it.

I've got a 8'6" steelhead rod for throwing light jigs and unweighted rubber. I used 30# braid to compensate for the softer blank.

I also caught some decent bass live lining tinker macs on it.

With an 11' noodle, you could probably cast flies.

nope

The United States Constitution does not exist to grant you rights; those rights are inherent within you. Rather it exists to frame a limited government so that those natural rights can be exercised freely.

1984 was a warning, not a guidebook!

It's time more people spoke up with the truth. Every time we let a leftist lie go uncorrected, the commies get stronger.
