Need Reports

Guys,
I've recently been named RI regional editor for Noreast saltwater. I need reports of what's going on, even if they are skunked reports. I promise I won't burn your favorate spots even if you tell me about them, But I don't need exact spots anyway. Feel free to post it here, pm me here or e-mail me at MakoMike3333@yahoo.com. Thanks!

Mako, maybe I'm not understanding this right but you're asking for people from S-B to provide reports to Noreast when they won't allow sharing links and pics back to S-B in the first place? Mike, we've talked before and I think you're a good egg, and I know you'r big into Noreast, but when I previously asked for an OK for sharing stuff back and forth between the sites, management really frowned on that. I think most will agree that I'm pretty easy going about inter site stuff and that S-B, as a site, ENCOURAGES sharing across sites. But when another site does not want to allow sharing between sites, I prefer that we don't share back.

What I mean by that is that if "Site 1" won't allow content or links from other sites, why should we at S-B actively provide content for "Site 1" when they don't want to share in the first place?

You guys know that I don't burn or censor links to other sites, even when those other sites (like one in NJ for example ) PROHIBITS even the mention of here. I think that's chickensheive on their part, but it's their decision, then taht's their decision. So while I think we are pretty free and open here and allow that sort of stuff, I don't think we should actively provide info for another site that wouldn't share with us to begin with... Sorry Mike - that thought kinda irks me (not you, don't get me wrong). I hope I'm reading this wrong. I don't think I am, but I hope I am....

Thanks,

John

John,
I'm simply asking for individuals to share info. FYI while Noreast doesn't actively promote links to other sites, there have been links posted, in members messages, that linked to here and to the other place in NJ. Members on noreast refer to other sites, including this one relatively frequently and neither those references or those links are censored out of their messages (unlike the NJ place) I guess the bottom line is that Noreast deosn't like "official" links, but members are fee to share other websites with their fellow members. Having said that, I have nothing to do with setting Noreast's policy. All I was trying to do was to recruit some observers. It would also add content to this site if they replied on the message boards instead of privately or via e-mail. But if you don't see it that way John, I certainly respect your right as our host to do whatever you want. If it irks you just delete this thread and we'll pretend that it never happened. No offense intended or taken.

Mike - like I said, I'm not tweaked at you but at the activity. I'll shoot you some in a PM, but when some stuff happened in the past, I asked if an informal agreement would be OK on linking back and forth and the answer was no...

I'll shoot you a PM tonight or tomorrow. Again, no harm, just think its not a good idea....

Thanks,

John
