				the cape in summer

The reason we all get stressed over the summer, yes I was born and raised here, is the tourists. They are not all loud, dirty, don't give a f......k jerks, but after too many years they seem to be. While we don't own the beach, there is nothing worse than putting up with the traffic all day and getting home late because of some site seeing sobs don't care how slow they go, to find some out of town, or out of state RICHARD stubled upon your spot. I'm not always on vacation, so try not to be a jerk in my home town, or neighborhood! I don't want to here you partying til 1,2,or 3 am on a work night. Our only revenge is you stuck in traffic you created on sunday as you try to get the f.... back to your own home! Sorry I didn't mean to get soooooo pisssy! Oh, and you sobs that have been coming to the cape for years, or own a home here, or better yet, move here to retire, you know what we call you..........wash a shores! |

I understand that the New Yorkers drive thru Rhode Island
on the way to Cape Cod.
Isn't that like sneaking thru Heaven just to go to Hell? |

 | Hi Raider,
Thank God there are no drugs on the cape.
What better reason to turn to drugs than spending one half
of your $4000.00 week vacation trying to get on RT#28
to go food shopping for your family.
By the way, the most abused drug in the USA is alcohol.
How dry is the Cape?

				 | Dutch,
Sorry to be so insulting towards Rhode Island.
But I have some issues with some of the scum from there who come to my town to the (STUPID) Wrentham premium outlet malls and break into cars, shop lift, and cause trafic problems (like the Cape)
This same scum drive down the streets of our nice quiet, clean town and throw their trash out the windows of there #^^^^& box cars on their way back towards Rt. 95

				 | I know both sides..Or should I say I understand both sides..
As a kid my parents owned a cottage on the bay side in Eastham in Sunset Village..It was a great place to spend the spring ,summers and the fall...I caught my 1st stripper near Herring river...We were always considered summer trash..Although my parents paid the neccesary taxes..Still summer trash//Even tho we bought all our food there ect,,,Went out to eat..Bought gas at Eastham Superette ect...And yes we were stuck in traffic all the time.ESPECIALLY at the windmill..And I still love the area,,So in ending..ARGH I am a confirmed wash a shore,,even tho I have been going there since 1960
Hope to see ya there |

   | Hi Raider,
It sounds like you love your space as much as I love mine.
If you can catch those RI jerks, I'll help you kick their ass.
If we ever meet, I'm sure we will be friends.

				 | I'm sort of in the same boat as SK'sD. My mother's a Capee, I'm not, plain and simple. Growing up, better than a quarter of the entire year was spent there. Always stayed in the same summer house on the compound my great, great grandfather bought back after the Civil War... still do stay there just not as much, but I pay taxes, and now I take care of all upkeep since my folks retired somewhere else up there. I was the summer kid at Mr Wilson's Recreation Program over at John Simpkins, and I had a job every summer from the age of 10, I took driver's ed at D-Y, courses at 4C's, spent 8 years driving a garbage truck for AH Crowell all over Dennis, bartended, painted houses, cut grass. I know better than anyone "I'm not from there" and maybe it's one of my regrets in life, but I have no control over that. I never treated the place nor the people with any sort of disrespect and it's pretty insulting to be stereotyped as someone to the contrary just because some local decides he doesn't want anyone who's not like him to cross the Sagamore anymore. That kind of thinking didn't work for a certain short German with a little mustach either. At the very least I doubt anyone from this board who was born off-Cape are the loud, littering, rude people referred to in the beginning of this thread, though they do exist, I'm sure of that. |

				 | Thanks for the back up Jimbo...I had my 1st jobs down the Cape also...I loved working all day and spending the whole night next to a fire on the beach with a few females.. Always will love the Cape and treat it with respect and will also know there are other people that won.t..Like with everthing else the "few" wreck it for everyone else.... |

				 | Last year's crowds blew during the glorious storm swell we got.
I'm afraid this year's crowds will be even worse.

Hopefully more morons will try to surf it.
