Talking block island report

Well the bass are back on Block Island... from everyone I talked to I caught one of the very first bass from shore this year! It was a blast, and I virtually had the whole island to myself. Did lots of scouting at lowtide, fished lots of places that would normaly hold bass when the season heats up, and most importantly, caught something....

here we are going for a spin

I cant wait to go back

Fantastic Man! Awesome pic, looks like you had some great weather. Did you stop and get the weapons of bass destruction?

Domination takes full concentration..

Yeah...I was wrong... ...I did not think you'd do very well.
Turns out that a guy named "Eben" is a pretty good fisherman...
Whoda thunk it?
Did that island mystique wash over you? Those Block Island stripers are the picture of health - great coloration, no sores, no tail rot.

Joe im not the best fisherman around, but I do listen Thanks for the tips you gave me and after following some advice from you, DZ, and Tom Maguire I had a pretty solid gameplan in efffect when I got there.. I saw some seagulls slurping down black eels at blackrock that were about 6 inches long that afternoon so I thought what looks like a 6 inch balck eel??? A 6 inch black needlefish: And your right.. that fish was fat and beautiful.. Normally I would have let it go but our friends out there love striper and I felt I had to give them something for letting us stay there:

That place is pure magic
