Coffee.. Java... Joe... Lifeblood :D 24/7
Ok, so since presumably most of us live on the stuff, i figured we'd start a thread of our favorite 24/7 coffee connections (the real coffee connection is a 6a-3p spot )
My top 3 Rhody spots...
Ma's in Newport, right on the rotary
Cumberland Farms in Jamestown
BessEaton/Tim Horton in Wakefield

Oh yeah....when I wake up, before I go to bed and all day long!
Must have coffee, java, joe, mud, and none of this latte' crap......good old fashioned, regular high test!!! (Just sitting down with my morning cup as I type this). Call me crazy (most people do) at home....good old fashioned Maxwell House instant coffee.....thats right....instant! However when I am on the road.....nothing but Dunkin Donuts for me.....no Starbucks (overpriced, overrated, and tastes over cooked always).....no Honey Dew, and definately none of the following....McDonalds coffee one stop gas stations and convieniece stores Even under the worst conditions....I will not settle for anything but Dunkin Donuts when I "NEED" my coffee. When I am fishing the nightshift......two thermoses filled with double "D". Gotta have it, just like I gotta have my favorite fishing rod, I gotta have my coffee!!!!!! And how do I "like it" you ask???? Great one......no sugar....with extra cream please....very, very light!!!!
JohnR.....we need a smilie to represent "coffee".....can we get one?

Green mountain is alright....the problem with some of those conveniece stores and gas stations is that the coffee is not their primary motivation its just a sideline....therefor I believe that the coffee tends to sit too long and it burns (overcooks). You know what I mean? DD has such a quick turnover that the coffee is always fresh!
You ever have Kona coffee??? OOOhhhhh that stuff is pretty goooood!
Starbucks.... if it was the only coffee place for a hundred miles I would keep driving! None of that lah-ti-dahhh stuff for me!

I'm sure most of us will agree that Big Fish is right. I also like D.D. A Large Ice Coffee Black with Sugar. There is another place called Coffee Express in Quincy. Different blends of coffee, Great stuff. Going for one in a little while.....

The worlds first Dunkin Donuts happens to be right across from the Team Sea Monkey Marina!!!! Great things happen in that neighborhood! The bonus for Team Sea Monkey....(and those fortunate enough to be card carrying honorary members) is that Dunkin Donuts is open 24/7!!!

Have to make it at home. Most places you can buy it only have what I refer to as "brown liquid". Must be strong, not burned, cold is OK with me. I definitely prefer Cumberland Farms to DD any day..............I just wish the one on 1A by ------ ------ was open past 11.......

Not to hijack, but pit n patio was great and the Bess Eaton location there was prime. I used to work at Pit n Patio back in 97-98. Still good friends with the former owner. For coffee DD for me sweet and light. Haven't tried Horton's yet.

Only coffee I ever drink is Dunkin Donuts or my own homebrewed pot of coffee with dunkin donuts beans, fresh, or I'll get freshly grinded beans from the local supermarket if I'm in the mood for somethign exotic...
speaking of which, anyone know how to make a cheaper blend of the DUnkin donuts ground beans??

I will become totally useless and plagued with serious headaches by 8AM (get up at 4) with my LG DD Light Xtra sugar. Coffee is the first medicine I take, daily.

Hey Fishdump why did Pit n Patio close up? Anytime I ever went there was a good crowd, I figure they were doing pretty well.

coffe mostly black no cream no sugar but once in a while I feel like a little cream and sugar I will get it. coffee from home coffee from work coffee from dunkies honeydew bess eaton cumby's it dont matter when I am in need of a coffee. But my favorite is coffee made in a good old fashioned perker. cant beat it. Amazing the robust flavors you miss out on with drip style coffee makers so whenever I have the time to spare its the perked coffee for me!

I'm not a big coffee drinker, but will indulge when I need a pick-me-up once in a blue moon. For me, the effects are short-lived - I'll be flying the first half hour and then crash and burn the next.
I know some people who are SO addicted to coffee - that they literally can't function without it (interestingly, more women than men).
These people will actually go through withdrawl symptoms if they don't get their caffeine fix - these usually manifest themselves as headaches and irritability.
Another thing - and sorry if this is a bit crude - but many of these caffeine addicts can't have a bowel movement without their morning coffee.
When you get this dependent on a substance, it kinda makes you wonder.
BTW, I prefer the taste of Dunkin' Donuts but the stronger-brewed Starbucks will wake me up (and deplete my wallet) a bit faster.

I drink DD daily, but if you have noticed how much the price has gone up over the past 5 years, in another 5 years from now it will cost $5.00 for a large cup, and the girls at the drive up window will still give you a dirty look if you don't give them a tip!!!
