Another December RI Striper
Rebecca Leong, a devoted Surfcaster caught this beautiful late season striper(12-01-01) at Fresh Pond Rocks "Don, thanks for that casting lesson last year. I've put it to good use. Just after another guy caught a 36in striper, I picked up a 45in 33lb striper surfcasting at Fresh Pond Rocks on 12/1/01 on a 1oz leadhead with a 4in plastic grub. " I beleive this to be her largest fish to date.
Congratulations Rebecca, if that fish was caught on 11/30/01 you would have won the Weekapaug SurfCaster's year long tournament( too bad just missed it by 1 day).

Way to go Rebecca!!! I was down South County yesterday, there were about 5 sand sleds in front of Breachway B&T, and several sleds running the area - people were still out in force yesterday. I had one of those painfull grins on my face because I just KNEW people were getting bass on the 15TH OF DECEMBER!!!!!!!

Great eats/More fish
Clamdigger,
That is a great place to eat, been there quite a few times.
Also received a call this morning from Capt. Lang Heminway, he was a bit peaved that the boat was out of the water. He said he watched a large school of fish off Weekapaug Point for over an hour with Gannets working the school. He did not know what the school was though. So looks like there still in South County.
