Are Ya Gonna Miss The BigFish?
Saturday morning happily and gleefully headed down to Wellfleet for two glorious, fish-filled weeks of......you guessed it.....FISHING! Got the new moon the middle of my second week.....gonna fish both sides of it as hard as I can! Hopefully, BIG things will happen for me as a result! Picked up my new custom rod and I am ready to go! Staying right on Wellfleet Harbor, Gawd I love sitting on the porch with a cold one and all of a sudden seeing the fish blitzing in front of the house! Grab the rod and run down to the water......and fish! Do I sound excited?????You bet I am! Hopefully I will have much to tell when I return......may the fishing Gods bless me! If any of you are down that way and you see my Jeep with the "BIGFSH" plates or the Tacoma with "FSHCHK" plates, say hello, maybe we can have a beer and fish! Have a great weekend all and enjoy the 1st Leg, wish I could make it! Later!

I'm fishing around here all weekend as to the fish will be turning around anyday now. I also have to save some money for next weekend. I'm going to go tear up Nantucket next weekend. I hear they have some kind of great points out there. (just kidding BW I promise I'll behave)

Landlocked again, probably a jaunt over to Six Flags, but thinking of a fgreshwater trip, livelining some of the cicada hatch that are raining down on us now. Fishsmith, don't forget to bring some striper tackle along, too, my sources say there's large being caught off the NJ Shore now, but ask me in another week and I'll know from experience.

Jimbo - Thats a given!! I've been reading the surf shop reports and water temps are still below 65 degrees so I might get my first NJ keeper this year. I'll post my results next week.

clean and load the boat, bring it to the slip, introduce myself to my new dockmates and start putting some brake in hours on the thing!
Wife is in that catch and release fly fishing tourny...I just could not get into it. It is a weird tourny IMO but a lot of guys come over for it. The prizes are weak and the format is complicated and it is more a social event then a fishing thing...I passed. She fishes with a few friends and likes it. it is just from 7pm-2am but you would be surprised how popular it is. A lot of guys came over eailer this week already, Ovris has a big thing, free food, casting lessons, demo rods ect.
When she comes home I am just getting ready to leave to go out!
By 3: am Sunday my herring should be swimming along the north shore and I will be a happy man. You watch, with my luck the wind will blow 40

I'm chasing a moving target for the 4 leg barbecue. I now appear to have till 5 PM tomorrow to get to cranston so I'm back in for attending the barbecue again!! We'll see what happens to my plans by tomorrow morning.
I'm fishing the canal tonight with Smokey. I'm hoping that tonight actually turns into the big night it should based on tiomes , tides , darkness , etc. Current should be cranking tonight!!

Fishing the harbor tthis evening and the south shore later. Them fish the outgoing in the am all weekend.
Probably have to start prepping the island for the arrival of Mikey. You know. Post NO FISHING signs in all the appropriate spots. Tell him to go to the tourist spots at ALL the wrong times. The standard stuff
