Try calling John at Main Bait and Tackle in Fall River he gets fresh from the boats in Mount Hope bay if there are any. I saw two boats working their nets there all week so he may have some.

Thanks guys I'll look into these (i'm down to 2-3 doz live herring, then I have to find something else. I have been using them sparingly. Bluefish are now attacking them and I will not have these for long. I tried to save a few until the big fish moved in but so did the blues) If I can get fresh bunker I would be a happy guy.

That bait pen worked great!! The trick is not to handle the herring if at all possible. The ones that fell on the ground or flopped around and I picked up died within a couple days. Most of them seem pretty good. A few have a beat up nose from trying to escape but most look pretty lively. Tonight (early tomorrow) I hope to swim a few in the rocks and drag a few thru a few holes.

Goose:

I bought it from the fellow at the MSBA show. I just have the small 3-4 dia' X 4' pen...not the huge custom "living rooms" ones like you sharpies have

I was out this am and the 10-12# blues took me for about another doz. Its tough culling thru them to get the bass, bluefish at the bottom in 90' of water

Need to move on to other spots.
