A short article appeared in today's Cape Cod Times:

Holyoke man drowns off Brewster island

CAPE COD TIMES
BREWSTER - A Holyoke man died Monday at Cape Cod Hospital after he was pulled from Cape Cod Bay off Wing Island, where he was spotted Saturday floating faceup just before noon.

The man was identified by Brewster police as Raymond J. Belisle of Holyoke.

A hospital spokesman confirmed Belisle died there Monday, but declined to release any additional information, citing federal medical privacy laws.

The official cause of death was not immediately known. Calls made to the state medical examiner's office were not returned yesterday.

Witnesses said the man had been seen earlier Saturday in a canoe.

Bystanders on shore, including an off-duty state police trooper, pulled the man to shore on the Wing Island side of Paine's Creek.
