Striper slaying to start Sunday in Mass
Commercial season starts Sunday and there will be a major A-- whooping put on those precious little fish you are looking for in Mass waters, 1,141,517 million pounds to be exact. Say the average weight of a commercial fish is 25#'s that means approx 45660 stripers in MA will die in the next couple of weeks.
Not sure how many people here fish commercial, but this year I will be taking my 30 fish a day.
Now, how do you all feel about that--

until stripers are declared a game fish, this will go on up and down the coast. not begrudging anybody, a lot of us were commercial at one time or another.

The point is my esteemed fellow bassers that there is no point. This is whats widely known as a circle talk. You are very astute indeed to see the pointless posting of this "issue".

On this issue you really can be a conservationist and a rod and reel commercial. If you don't help meet the quota somebody else will. Either way, it will be met.

I've had enough and don't give a chit anymore. Between the government, stupid non-fish knowing scientists, Fisheries and wildlife clowns and poachers the fish don't stand a chance over time. Yes, there are a ton of stripers out there now, but nobody seems to give two chits if my children or your children have a chance to catch them. Myself and others have seen this happen with many species of fish that used to frequent our waters. The scientists tell the DMF what they think should be done and they end up f'ing up ten other species in the process.
I'm also sick and tired of gready people kill the fish that I throw back. My thoughs are that somebody is going to get em, might as well be me and my family.
If you can't beat em, join em--

I think you guys should take this pissing contest off the site before you both get banned.......I know at this point you probably don't care, but nobody here really wants to see this kind of blatant language! I am here to tell you that I don't want to see it so knock it off and have a little class!

If this isn't a troll, then I don't know what one is.
You were obviously trying to tick off the sport guys and you seem to have done a good job at it.
What did you accomplish.
Nothing but tick off a bunch of really nice guys.
You're such a winner.

A troll? Please elaborate?
I was not trying to tick off anyone, I was the one that was ticked off and felt like posting my feelings

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internet_troll
On the Internet, the term troll is a slang term used to describe a number of things, traditionally:
A post (on a newsgroup, or other forum) thought to be intended to incite controversy or conflict or cause annoyance or offense.
A person who posts these.
The term troll has negative connotations, and is often applied as an insult. An individual posting honestly-held but controversial opinions is sometimes mis-labeled as a troll. By contrast, a troll's primary incentive is generally considered to be the incitement of conflict.
A troll's reactions to being identified as a troll often gives the game away. A person unjustly accused of being a troll may be hurt and express indignation. A troll is more likely to react with verbal abuse, raising the stakes with inflammatory remarks maligning the motivation of the accuser.
Trolling is often described as an online version of the breaching experiment, where social boundaries and rules of etiquette are broken. Self-proclaimed trolls often style themselves as Devil's Advocates or gadflies, challenging the dominant discourse and assumptions of the forum they are 'trolling' in an attempt to subvert and introduce different ways of thinking. Detractors claim that true "Devil's Advocates" generally identify themselves as such for the sake of etiquette whereas trolls do not feel so bound.
Trolls are sometimes caricatured as socially-inept. This is often due to fundamental attribution error, as it is difficult to know the real traits of an individual solely from their online discourse. Indeed, since intentional trolls are alleged to knowingly flout social boundaries, it is difficult to typecast them as socially inept since they have arguably proven adept at their goal of inciting conflict.
