Best night ever
Got 3 bass tonight all over 30" with the biggest being 38".Got all 3 just after full dark on a Blurple Bomber.I don't know how much the biggest weighed but it looked pretty close to my biggest which is 26lbs.
The surf was the heaviest I've seen this year for where I was fishing.Tide was exceptionally high because of the surf.I got pretty wet even with the waders on but it was worth it
I ain't gonna be able to sleep tonight!

Only 20 more exposures and I can finally develope the film.Gonna
hit that spot again tonight and hopefully lessen that number.
Gonna go a lot LIGHTER tonight too.Just 3 plugs,my rod,the flashlight and a rope. Its was a long freakin walk with the full plug bag and camera, pole and no rope.Lugging a fish a 1/2 mile without rope is a pain in the a$$.

The surf was high last night...calm winds yet we had a sea that hit me in the chest and moved me back a few feet several times.
Your fishing was better then mine however...things have slowed down quite a bit here for the summer...at least from the surf.
Comm guys limiting out quickly in the usual places.

It was pretty wild how big the waves were.I really think that's what turned these fish on.Some decent swells for sure.Had a blast I can't wait to get out there again tonight.

"There is no royal road to this heavy surf-fishing. With all the appliances for comfort experience can suggest, there is a certain amount of hard work to be done and exposure to be bourne as a part of the price of success." From "Striped Bass," Scribner's Magazine, 1881.
