Max Cleland
Anyone see his stunt in Crawford today? Cleland is a great american hero but shut the F@^@ up with all your reteric. The Kerry campaign should be ashamed of them selves for trying to shut down the free speech of fellow veterans. They have the right to state thier side of the story. Just because old Johny boy doesnt like it doesnt meen they cant say what they want. F@#^ Kerry for bringing all this Vietnam stuff into the campain and blaming Bush for it. Piece of crap that man is This is gonna backfire right back at him just like it already has among veterans....10 point slide for him among veterans in past few weeks. gonna be more than that soon Johney. Keep up the good work....your only helping W get re elected

Get a grip man.
If someone was out there spreading lies and conducting a smear campaign against you, you'd be upset about it too.

Yea really Skip. Cleland lost how many limbs in Vietnam and still had this crap pulled on him for his Senate race.
The SwiftVets don't need to stop their ad, but Bush should disavow the ad specifically so the media will stop the 24/7 coverage. A blanket statement about 527's in general doesn't cut it. Frankley I've seen many Democratic 527 ads that have been more truthful and respectful than some coming from Bush's own campaign
This isn't about free speech, it's about an organized smear campaign specifically designed to remove Bush's opponent. The similiarities between this and Cleland and McCain are frightening. Same people behind it each time.

And of those 200 Swift boat vets, how many served on John Kerry's boat? Of those that served on Kerry's actual boat, how many are questioning his actions?
That's right - the answer is none.
This ad campaign is libelous at best, and a disgrace on American politics. The fact that W let these vets do his dirty work is even worse.
These ads are a far cry from the moveon ads. Everyone knows Bush isn't Hitler - it's not a lie that is believeable. As a side note, the moveon ad with the kids working on the deficit was genius.
I actually want to vote republican, but W isn't the right type of a republican for me. I also abhor his campaign tactics. They are not good for America.

Sorry Skip, but MoveOn.org never ran an ad comparing Bush to Hitler. I think you've been listening to too many conservative blowhards.
What they did do was hold an anti-Bush ad contest. One of the independently produced submissions was the Bush/Hitler ad. Someone compained and they immediatly removed it from their website and admitted it was in poor taste.
What I find even more objectionable is that the Bush/Cheney campaign used the same ad mixed in with Kerry, Gore and Dean in an OFFICIAL campaign advertisement.

How you figure that?Sr was shootin down nips during WW2 along with Dole and nobodies like my old man and my uncle.A lot of them good folks didn't get to come back and enjoy the life we do.
The only ties were that the japs were allies with the krauts.Good god man these are the people who made the life you enjoy possible.
Morons like Michael Moore who blame George W. Bush for the tragedies of 9/11 just inferiate me.Our president isn't in anyway to blame,it's the allah worshiping religious freaks who did it!
My time in the miltary, like those before me,WAS NOT WAISTED!!!
