Weekend?
My better have is bugging me to do some stuff that's been on my "need to do" list forever, then she mentioned King Richard's Fare with the kids...aaaahhh. The forecast looks great and I'm going to go nuts if I can't get out. Hey John, it's been 3 weeks since I hit the south shore and I noticed you said it had slowed. I heard a rumor that Quincy Bay was on fire this past week, have you heard anything that would confirm that. If I can get out I'm torn between launching in Scituate and heading north to check things out, or launching in Plymouth and heading towards the power plant...which is also rumored to be hot right now.
If I knew Rhode Island at all, I would probably head that way, based on the #^^^^^^&'s reports. I've never fished down that way, are there any good ramps to launch in productive areas? When this season is done, I've got to round up some good charts for the state, but which areas would be best to start with? Well, just curious what's happening, since I've been a landlubber for weeks, lol.
Tight lines.

RE:Weekend?
There are many, many ramps within a few hundred yards of the action on the south shore of rhody.Lately, the fish have been right on the beach and the boats cant get in tight due to all the boulders.Rhode island is easy to learn and a b;ast to fish...

RE:Weekend?
Bolders and getting in tight is what I live for. If there is 3 feet of water and room to manuver a boat around with my trolling motor, the more bolders the better. It's not a big state, but there's a lot of coastline and I could use a little more specific help. Not looking for any "hot spots" that you don't want to see me sitting off of (LOL), but a ramp location would be helpful. Is there anything in the vacinity of where the Oct 13th-14th get together will be. I'd love to pop the boat in to run the shore, scope out things with the depth finder and obviously catch a few unicorns. I don't have any charts and I'm not even sure I own a road map of the state, but with some better directions I will find my way.
Tight lines and thanks for any suggesstions.

RE:Weekend?
Got, I wouldn't give up on our coast just yet... There are still a ton of fish up off Hull and they've been trickling through. It was slow at the end of last week but I haven't been out myuself in 5 days, getting ready for the move AND MV this weekend... As far as Rhody launch spots? There are several from Pt Judith to Westerly (rough area we'll be fishing) with some at the breachways that can be downright nasty at lower tides and without being familiar with the lay of the land, er,ah boulders!!!
'Later,
John
