well they did it again .
down loaded Microsoft SP2 and lost all my email settings,contacts and address book. just to let you know when you down load it Back up your address book.
It also will not accept my pass words that I know are right. It will also shut off your system restore so you do not have a restore point.

Let this be a lesson, make a backup before you ever install a service pack release from microsoft.

XP SP2 blows goats all day long... I promptly went back to a backup I made before installing SP2 cuz that crap was horrible.

Even a newbie user like my wife hated SP2.

SP2 comes in different flavors.

There is a small version that is supposed to be an upgrade over your SP1 and there is a full-blown version weighing in at over 200 MegBytes.

I did the short version and ended up with problems. I got the CD from Micro$oft for just asking. No shipping or nuthin. It worked great and is more robust.

their damn forced security settings are a pain in the arse.

took awile to figure out how to shut it all off so my computer would boot @ a normal rate of speed again.

linux is still to messy...it has a way to go yet.
