"its your fault" grump
the wife is sick as a dog "MORNING SICKNESS" and i am getting
the "its your fault" line. what do i do? i have been throwing
her bowls of ice cream hoping she won't rip off my arm and beat
me with it..
any other suggestions to keep her from smothering me with a
pillow in the middle of the night? and if your wife went thru
this. how did you convince her to have another?????

I think heavy doses of night fishing, what with the fall run underway, is just what the Doctor orderded! It will A. Keep your ears from hurting from your wife blaming you for everything. B. Keep you from overfeeding her to shut her up.....you know what problems that can cause. (Later she will blame you for weight gain) C. Most importantly it will keep you out all night, thus, keeping her from having the opportunity to smother you with a pillow while you sleep! See....it all makes sense!
You got maybe a good 4 weeks of fishing left...barring any storms blowing it out! Should be enough time to carry you through the worst of it, so....sharpen your hooks, load up the truck and hit the surf!
As far as talking her into having another child? Just the mere fact that you were out of the house for 4 precious weeks will be enough to make her realize that there are certain benefits to child birth!
Best of luck and good fishing!

I like Big Fish's reply, get out as much as possible. Easier said than done. Good Luck, in a few more months it will all be worth it. My wife was great only a week of sickness and she was fine. She only gained like 14 lbs. and lost it all right away. We had to go out for hotdogs every tuesday though.

Just don't do what I did and say, "You asked for it." That was the wrong response in one aspect because she got more mad at me, but was good in another because she didn't talk to me for 2 days so ther was a little peace and quiet. And like others have said get out as much as possible because once the little bundle of joy comes along your time will be cut drastically. -James

Just bear with her. It's the raging hormones thang and she's probably not even aware her head is spinning around like Regan spitting out expletives you've never imagine hearing before. This to shall pass (sooner or later). It's also a trade off. In exchange for the blame and abuse you get upwards of 9-12 months of designated driver. So just suck in your pride and take it. Here's what worked for me:
1) Use lots of words like "Sweetie", "Dear", "Honey", and "You are even more beautiful when you're pregnant."
2) Figure out what comfort foods she's craving and have at least a month's supply on-hand ( in this condition they are capable of consuming upwards of 3-6 weeks worth at a sitting, so running out is not an option).
3) Learn to be a Shiatsu Master at the backrub. (Throughout the pregnancy this one is guaranteed to take your from being the "F%$#ing, a.h. who did this to me," to "why are you so good to me?"
4) If things get extreme it may be necessary to tell "the lie". You really gotta put on an Academ Award performance when you say, "I know you'll think I'm nuts, but I think I'm sharing your pain. I read in the birthing book (there's so many of them, don't worry, she won't pin you down for a title) that sometimes men who are really intuned to their wife's pregnancy feel many of the same pains and changes, and I think I am. We're in this together [Honey/Dear/Sweetie]. If you could eek out a tear, your golden!

Mrs eben never got morning sickness.. Infact, she told me over and over she had neer felt healthier before in her life
When she starts to get big, her feet will start to get sore.. give her lots of foot massages, back rubs, and whatever she needs. If you make her feel loved and pampered she will feel better about herself. Also, dont forget to always tell her how beautiful she looks. in a few months her self esteem is going to go down the toilet.... especially when she cant fit into her old cloths. Be supportive and no matter how much she yells at you, just remember...... it will never end until the day you die

It's just something you need to deal with. Wait till she spends most of most nights half sleeping in the chair with the baby latched on. What did you do to me, my back hurts............................................. .
She will probably be the one talking you into another(I have three and won the battle to quit there)....

This is nothing - u wait when u are in the delivery room and she is slamming ya around when the pain comes in and the baby want outta the womb.
Be thankful she can get pregnant. Lot of women have infertility problems - u can say that to her for me.
Redheads - woo hoo! I love a fiesty gal.
