OctoberFish!!! Part III
Directions... Here are the directions for various spots... Hope to see everyone that can come!!!! For local communications, Motorola Talk-Abouts have decent range. I'll have a pair of 250s along, on channel 10!!!!
Initial meet at 3pm at the Bess Eaton Donuts on Rt 1 (Ocean Side) in Charlestown, RI http://www.striped-bass.com/Images/besseaton.gif
The spots were focusing on (Watch Hill can be a nasty spot, Korkers and rock hopping in order)

And an overall map of SW Rhody...

Hey, John, not sure if I'll make it, but if I do, two questions: How long from 95 to get there? I know it takes me exactly 1 hour to get to the CT border.
How is the parking in the planned fishing areas?
Thanks.

Saltheart, that was plan C !!! Bess Eaton in C-Town. Steve, its way near the end and I think it's the same time to take 95 to 4 to 1 as it is coming in from 95. Bill or Saltheart would have better info. Parking is good at Charlestown Beach/Breachway but at Watch Hill, you need to park in behind the Inn and walk down the road to Watch Hill Lighthouse...

Best way to get there from CT is to take 95 to exit 92 in CT. Bottom of ramp , go right. A little way down you'll see an entrance to 78 on your left. Turn down 78. that road changes to RI 78 but that road leads you right to RT 1 in Westerly. To get to the Charletown Bess eaton , go left onto RT 1 north. Bess eaton is easy to see on the right hand side I'm guessing 10 minutes down Rt 1 north.. Its a big bess eaton.

Great move Saltheart , give "Steve from MA." directions from CT!! That's it for me today , I'm going fishing.
From Mass take 95 to 4 to 1 south. Rt 4 exits left off 95 just after 295 hits 95 in Warwick. Hope you can make it

Is Charlestown beach a rocky beach? It is a near full moon tonight. So we need some rocks for those rockfish.

I'll be there. Assuming I got the correct directions. Good thing I double checked. DOH! I would have ended up back in Maine. Hmmm, I thought that I was the only one dangerous with directions.......

John I wish you mentioned this little mystery trip when we were riding back from Quansoo where we went with Mantia and wife. I would have arranged to be able to go. Never have fished Rhody and would have jumped at the chance to fish with someone experienced with the area.
