..I'm not sure how the water temperature effects those little "Calico-looking" crabs that have been invading our coast, but I know a decent spot to check on those too....
....its just so hard being near the ocean, and feeling its empty...  |

....it doesn't matter how prepared I feel I've left or arranged my equipment, as the season approaches.......I still keep changing things around......kinda like settin up the tree....when its all said and done.......
the next day, your still movin some figures around.... |

....ya see, I'm still stuck on the notion that anything can happen when I arrive Oceanside......so since in the past I've got caught emptyhanded....I always tend to bring somethingS...XXXtra.... |

.even if I head out in the evening targeting Stripers....sometimes I never know how long I'll be......meaning maybe I'll still be there when the sun pukes....and who knows what'll show up or where I'll be..... .......I'd hate to be one of those guys watching instead of trying.... |

...I've gotten caught.....in a Bloofish Blitz....with no STEEL...!!
.....and after donating the first plug, I sat back and watched others enjoy themselves....thinkin' there's probably Bass underneath....but the few things I had on hand wouldn't make it past those sharp teeth...
.....I've also got caught with my pants....errrrr....Unprepared, when the Albies/False Bonitos showed up.....and that kills me!! |

....Since I'm talking about "MISHAPS"....
....I've also driven far from home, targeting Tautog....when I arrive at my spot, and realize that I forgot my lead!!!!! (only happend once!!!)
....I've also ran out of equipment, while togging...thats' when its time to pack it in.....Tattoo knows the spot |

....what I've started doing is .....when I go to a certain ....."Rocky" spot.....I take the amount of equipment (hooks/sinkers) that I will "sanely" lose.....and when they're gone so am I ....
....thats not fool proof though.....cuz at times the fish suddenly showed up.....and I didn't have much to offer them...... ...one of the things I like about fishing......is your always learning..... |
