Heads Up to Fisherwoman

I'm not sure who lives where, but I believe this may be in your territory. Friday night I went to the Hull football game. The field is right next to the Hull gut. When I arrived, there were a few guys fishing. By the time I left, they were gone but the birds were going crazy about 10 yards offshore.

Hey, MartyK, how are you doing? Yes that would be in our territory, thanks for the heads up, am still looking to put in some time on the water before the snow flakes start falling. Hope all is well with you, and would still like to get together and fish with ya, maybe in the spring down on the cape?

Absolutely!!! If you want to show me the fine art of plugging, I'll be a willing student. BTW, have you or anyone else seen the show on Media One (or whatever they call themselves this week) at 11:30 AM on Saturday (their own station) on surf fishing? I was channel surfing this past Saturday and caught the very end. I think they may have been in Hatteras. They said that they would be doing another show next week
at the same time from somewhere else. I believe it is sponsored by Cabelas.

Hey Juls, how late do you striperfish in the Boston area and do you take advantage of any of the power plant discharges to stretch your season? I've heard, but never really tried it, that late fall fishing for hold over schoolies.

Tight lines.

Hey MartyK, didn't see that show specifically, but saw a couple of them before, and yes they are done by cabelas I believe. We will get together and fish, either now or in the spring, which ever works out best for you, just let me know.

Got Stripers, there are still some fish around, but it is seek and find, one of the places we fish this time of year is the Plymouth power plant, we haven't hit it yet this year, but last year we fished it until Dec 2nd, and had over 150 fish days, with some keeper fish in the mix.
But you need to be careful fishing these area's on the jetties, as the tide drops the rocks can be very slick. We took some video last year when we were there, fish busting, birds working and I even did some filming down into the water from the walkway between the 2 jetties and was amazed at the hundreds of fish that were there. They do close the power plant access down in December as they don't want anyone to get hurt if the rocks get icy. But now is the time, and it can really extend the season fruitfully.

Fisherwoman, to the best of my knowledge, I'm free every weekend between now and April. I'd like nothing better than to fish with you anywhere and anytime it's convenient. I brought home my 10' Sealine, Penn 704Z, waders and some plugs. Just say the word!!

I've been thinking of giving the Plymouth power plant a try in the next couple of weeks, especially if I'm lucky enough to have a new boat soon. I put an offer down on a boat this afternoon, because it was just too sweat a deal at $16,000. It was a brand new arrival for the broker who called me because he new I was looking for something similar, so I made an offer of $15,000 in the hopes the seller needs the money quickly. Keep your fingers crossed for me, I'd love to close this deal quickly.

Heard this afternoon the owner accepted my offer, I'm so pumped....I can't wait. Now I just have to get the financing (yuk) straightened out. I'm having the dealer run it by his usual lenders (florida banks apparently since they know about boat loans more than local banks), but I would like to run it by some other lenders.

Anyone have any good lenders for boat loans? Names, phone/fax numbers would be appreciated. Christmas is coming early for me and I feel like a 10 year old a week before the holiday. Thanks and tight lines.

Could be. Are you shopping? Because if you are, it's a dealer up in the Sebago Maine area, lol.

Got, if you launch your new vessel in plymouth , it's only a hop , skip & a jump to the power plant. Of course you could fish it from shore, those hand poured baits work wonders there , only need light tackle there but korkers are a big plus.
