Holiday Shopping - Would you be interested....

Would you be interested in a running thread where you can post some of the fishing tackle you desire so your better half or kids or parents can come take a look for ideas for presents this holiday season?

I realize we might be playing with fire allowing our significant others to come into this little corner of the Internet but if they are looking for some holiday gift inspiration - it might help

Whaddya think?

GREAT IDEA!!!!

I think my wife wants to buy me some fishing "stuff" but she has no clue as to what is good and what I need so somthing like this may help her not buy apcray (pig latin) from almart-way thinking it is good chit.

"Hey honey, if you were thinking about buying some fishing "stuff" for me as a gift you can go to striped-bass.com and look under the fishing gifts section and you can choose from anything you want for a gift for me. You can even tell anyone who asks what they should get me for a gift to go there as well!"

I like it!!!

Great idea! Only it won't work for me. My wife ( and this is probably why we have lasted as husband and wife so long) looks at going into tackle shops and buying me fishing gear as I do going into a store to buy her feminine hygiene products. It ain't happening. Good for all the other guys though!

Why even try.........

My wife says I have enough fishing stuff and there is no way she's getting me anymore. Besides she says I'm too picky about it, if I really wanted to catch fish I should just use "those worms".

I'm not letting my wife on here.

However, all I did was find all the stuff I want at the various e-retailers and send her an email with links to said products.

For example, one of the links was:

http://65.36.161.94/merchant2/mercha...tegory_Code=PJ

know what i'm sayin?

Good Idea only problem is that you have to give up your password and she can check in periodically.

no way! I need to keep sb.com and wife separate for as long as possible. In fact... am thinking of adding a double password protection to the site.

I wanna report this post to a moderator....

"There is no royal road to this heavy surf-fishing. With all the appliances for comfort experience can suggest, there is a certain amount of hard work to be done and exposure to be bourne as a part of the price of success." From "Striped Bass," Scribner's Magazine, 1881.

You are all killing me!!!

I understand that some of you guys are just messin' around but my wife supports my fishing habit. She would love to be able to buy some high quality gear for me and if there was a resource that she could do that without having to ask me she would be very happy as well.

A nice Van Staal would be one hell of a gift!!!
