How Long After....

I seal a Plug should I prime it. I dipped a few in the 60/40 Mixture Friday night for about an hour and was wondering when it would be OK to prime them. They seem dry now but just wondering if I should be waiting a little longer for them

Depends alot on temperature. You said you soaked the plugs for 1 hour each? I think most of us just dip for a minute then wipe the excess off the outside. I havent had much luck with the boiled linseed oil. It takes a long time to dry and sometimes the primer doesnt dry, part of the charictoristice of BLO. Its mainly used as an additive for oil based paints to slow down the dry time so the paint has a chance to level itself out and also to increase the sheen. I was told that if the plugs feel room temperature to the touch they are ok to prime. If they feel cool, dont prime yet. Not real sure how true that is. If you have a few ready, I would prime ONE and see how it dries. If it (the primer) drys, prime the others.

Dip until there's no bubbles then give it a minute or two a week to dry should be cool. I <snuck by one of the local places and snagged some milk crates> and I run two wires scross the the tops of the milk crates and I hang them to dry perfect air circulation wth those things about a week to dry less if its in a warm area.

Domination takes full concentration..

Wife don't know it, but I got'em hanging in the bedroom closet.

To cold in the garage. Hung them there the 1st day just in case they drip then moved them inside.

I'll probably give them a few more days just to be sure
