Plug maintenance question?

I'm doing some maintenance on my plugs it's wood and plastics do you have any suggestions which treble hooks to use. Does it vary the weight of my plugs like for 1oz plug which treble hook to use and so for?

And also on the paint i have no idea what kind and brand to use.

Striper...I'm lovin it...

3x VMC or gamakatsu trembles for bombers type plugs (PPSST!!-put a single siwash hook on the back of all plugs) 4X VMC or gamakatsu for danny type swimmers, bigger plugs(darters, pikie, surfster)

On a 1 oz. plug I would use a 1/0 4X VMC treble.

what about split rings. I never am sure of what size to use, the good ones or the cheap ones, regular or heavy duty??

Why would you use 3X or 4X hooks and not use heavy duty split rings? I put 4X VMC on all my plugs with heavy duty split rings. Get yourself a good set of split ring pliers it makes the job alot easier.
