I'm working on building a duplicator.
What should I use for a cutting bit and where can I get one?
Thanks in advance.

Here's the duplicator I came up with.
Thanks for the help.
I need to improve the cutter base a bit but works great for now.

Been in the shop the last week or so building a duplicator in my spare time between jobs. Making it out of Aluminum. Should be done soon all I have left are the patterns and will post some pics. I am going to use 1/2 in. carbide lathe bits. They are square. I can shape them any way I need, radius, pointed, etc. and they are not that expensive. I will bring a few to plugfest so you can see. P.M.

I like it FA, What are you using as your flat board and are you fastening it to the base of the lathe with wing nut bolts
Thanks.

I used a scrap piece of Corian countertop material. Yes, bolt ,washer and wingnut, so I can remove it easily.
