I Just Talked To #^^^^^^^^^^^& And.......
The Plugfest scheduled for February 12th is a definate go..... provided we see how many are all fired up on attending! Figure by then the "shack nasties" (to borrow a cool phrase I found on here) will be setting in pretty good long about then. #^^^^^^^^^^^& is busy studying for his masters in Theology so he has asked me to post this notice and get all you longtime plug builders, short time plug builders, newbies and neophites fired up for a pluggin' good time! All the information on the initial thread starting post still applies with the exception of a couple of changes.
1. The only plug building competition will be the "Home Built Plug Competition". There will be 3 prizes awarded to those who turn, paint, and wire their own creation. From start to finish, the plug must be done entirely by the entrant. We will also have other awards to be given for best paint job.....most original plug.....and for the best vintage/original copy. As indicated so you all know...all plugs entered into this competition will be raffled off at the Plugfest with the proceeds going towards the site. So build your best and bring it along, there will be some first rate prizes that I will announce later in the weekend.
2. We need to know who is bringing what for food, so all those who will be bringing food, please list it here and let me know what you will be bringing even if you already posted it. Thanks.
3. We will need volunteers, maybe 2 to help with food setup and such.
4. We will also appreciate anyone who could volunteer to help us clean up afterwards. Thanks.
More info will be posted as we move along so stay tuned and let us know who will be coming to "Plugfest 05"!

We also are encouraging all builders to bring along some of your work to share, show and display for all to see, admire and draw some inspiration from. Hoing is encouraged also.....there will be an award given to the "Plug Ho King" at the close of "Plugfest 05" so tune your hoing skills and make your momma proud!

Steve "Flaptail" Shiraka will be doing a presentation on "Plug History" at Plugfest 05! Should be a great discussion as Flap has great plug lineage. For those who will be there and do not know Flaptail he also owns a pretty sweet wood collection and often tempts us with some eye candy!

Is there room for newbies?
I'm gonna convert our old darkroom - which is pretty good-sized - into a woodshop and need advice - and I make a damned fine chowder I can bring along!
