Jersey Flea Markets
Who's coming down to Jersey for the flea markets? The two that are not to be missed are the Berkeley Striper Club Flea Market, March 6 in Seaside Park and the other is the Asbury Park Flea Market, March 13 in Asbury Park. These two flea markets are what most people look foward to for plug builders. There will be over 25 different plug builders between the two flea markets, Don't miss them!

Berkeley Striper Club Flea Market
At the Berkeley ther will be Big Don, Mac, PA Surfer, Basswood, Gary 2 and McFadden just to name a few. There are no other shows that will have this many plug builders selling there creations that I know of, Berkeley and Asbury. Not to mention the custom rod builders and other fine new and used fishing products to boot.

Let me get this strait.
Its a big show were lots of custom builders sell their plugs.Sound cool .
I assume that these builders test their plugs for at least a year or two by hard core fisherman before they sell it ,right ?I mean , I wouldn't want to pay $20 or $30 for a plug by a builder I never heard off and then have a plug sink like a stone on a first cast........

Zeno---we all know how good Habs and tat are.
Macs stuff is top drawer.
Of the rest, the one I'm most familiar with is Big Don, and I'll tell ya this---if you don't get there early, you may be SOL on them (and I don't mean SOL the website )

Mac Fadden has been makin plugs for 30 yrs.not fancy but a good plug for the money.Big Dons stuff usually last's a while.Mac's stuff is top shelf as is gary's.basswoods models his design After lefty's work.so they are all good builders.berkley is a little tight.the Asbury show is bigger now that they moved to convention hall. The only one who doesn't do that is big Don.U used to be able to get his stuff for around 15 bucks but this yr he had a dramatic increase.Asbury will have alot more builders they have several members that don't do the berk.show that have some good things.if i was gonna travel a distance an wanted to do one show only i would do asbury.but berkley's show is also on the day of the food fling.oops.wrong site.no glam or fancy surrondings in either of these 2 shows so if u come for that stay home an expect to get shoved around from angry NJ guys.
