Bloo I use 50 pound mono on the cod rod.
I was thinking of trying Braid line you ever used the stuff ?

I've only used braid to spin so far.....not for Cod...I hear its great though.....as long as your "leader" is long enough....
...you wouldn't to tie direct, rip your reel right off yer rod.....  or do some kind of damage..

Sometime this season, I'm gonna throw some braid on my conventional....
..I need some practice first.....I'm still new to conventionals......as far as casting them ...

I got #80 whiplash on a penn 975 I use for jiggin at the ditch do you think thats ideal for cod

My Abu 7000CL is on an 11 1/2' custom Lami.....right now its got some 25# Big Game......just as the season ended for tog......I was bringing it with me ......just to get some practice....worked like a charm though

True that line casts like dream, but I can't trust fishin it at night. I find if the line ain't gonin on with tenion you'ld better have your handy dandy nail clippers BLOO's Clues! lol I 'ld rather fish big game and change my line more often ( that stuff aint cheap )
