Being a young guy....I never saw him pitch, but I did enjoy listening to him on the radio from time to time.....he will be missed.

Believe it or not he was the 1st baseball player my son ever got an autograph from too. We met him at the Fanfest when the all-star game was at Fenway a few years ago

I think he still has the MLB record for most strike outs in a season by a relief pitcher. I guess he fell and hit his head. Too bad. Paul

Great Guy. Met him a bunch of times. He did a lot for the kids also. When I played youth hockey he came every year to our banquets.
