Oh I love it, almost the same deal as the one I had, '71 with a '86 350 3 speed...Scary fast in 2nd gear..Tore the body off, fiberglassed it up..full roll cage 33"*12 1/2" muddin tires.....God I loved that thing. The funny thing is I have a "model" jeep of my cj5 I built when I was 17 still sitting on my desk to this day... I felt like I had it all in those days, never ever put the top on it, just carried the bikini top under the seat for the rainy days. It could be in the 40's and I would already have the doors and top off....I shake my head when I see people driving them with the tops on...... First place I ever got some was my jeep... "Only in a Jeep".....
Man I miss the feeling

Karl, Radial Sport Truck TA's by B.F. Goodrich! I had them on all my 4wd vehicles until they stopped making them about 12 years ago. Best Goddam beach sneaker ever made. Still got a set on white spokers in my cellar. Too old to use now though. God I loved that tire in the 10.50r15 series.

Why even try.........

reel e.. do another, won't hurt your wallet, if ya do it yourself... rusty critters can be had cheap, or like that one I had... "Please, just get it out of here!" M
Flap... Sport Trucks... uh huh, they were awesome, never shoulda stopped makin 'em, now, I feel the same way about the Cooper Discoverer HT's... My Old Bronco, the Green and white one, I had a set with 80 K on 'em ... my 79 Chevy K10 had 'em too, 'cept they never lasted long on that one, musta been the stroker small block with the big holley that ate 'em up
pic showing the bronco, and a little bit of the chebby

Karl F...you have had some reel nice rides
I would love to find a beater and do it all over again, it would have to be cheap because my pockets are pretty empty, but if anyone ever sees such a beast, lemme know. I would take it in a heartbeat

My Jeep
This is a real Jeep (A Willy's)
Not like the CJs and Wranglers!!!
It was my grandfathers (new in 1962) and one of our shop trucks at our
auto body & repair shop
It was my 1st ride !
My grandfather taught my how to drive when I was about 12 years old in it, and let me plow snow in the winter at our shop from that age on!
After my grandfather passed away, I took it and gave it a complete restoration and drove it for quite a few years!
Unfortunately, as I got older, I didn't drive it very much, it sat in my garage taking up space and I gave in to a CRAZY price a doctor offered me for it ,
and I sold it
Not 1 day in my life has gone by that I have NOT regretted selling it!!!
Even though I sold it for more than 3 times what it cost brand new,
No amount of money can replace the memories and times in it with the BIGGEST influence (my grandfather) of my life!!!
